WARFARE - August 17th, 2026 - Peter Principle - 08-17-2026
JC: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Warfare! We are ready for what promises to be a fascinating contest tonight. The established powerhouse, ‘Main Event’ Jay Fetu, takes on a man making his in-ring debut tonight—@getouttamyringerson! The loud samba-esque beat of ‘30’ by Fukkit blares over the X-Tron… the Ninja zips out from the behind the curtain, hopping from one foot to the next, looking like he’s ready to sprint to the ring when the beat drops… …It drops! But it’s slowed and bass-boosted! And the Ninja slow-rolls down the ramp, stretching his shoulders as he walks, ignoring the crowd. JR: I've got to tell you, Jacuinde, I thought ninja’s were supposed to be quiet, but this guy has been talking a lot. Jacuinde: That is an understatement. He won’t shut up and he’s been running his mouth on every other competitor in the XWF! Joe Rogan: He's been talking so much that I think his phone needs a fucking chiropractor. Jacuinde: But tonight he has to back it up inside the ring. Joe Rogan: Exactly. Twitter doesn't have ropes. Twitter doesn't have a referee. And Twitter definitely doesn't let you get away from a six-foot-plus Samoan powerhouse who thinks one strike is all he needs. The man known simply as @getouttamyringerson hops onto the apron from the floor, then frontflips over the ropes and onto his feet athletically. He climbs up the turnbuckle like he’s going to pump up the crowd… and then he yawns on the top turnbuckle, before turning around and lounging against it, awaiting his opponent… … Main Event Ish hits and he walks out behind the XWF Universe wearing an Yeet Sunglasses and a Yeet shirt with a Fetu logo on the side of his pants and a Yeet on the right side and he makes a stop near the steps and raise his hands up and wave'em his Yeet hands and the Universe was following him and they were doing it alone side with him and he kepts on walking down the stairs and slapping kids and adults high five and making his way down the ring… JC: There he is! The man they call ‘Main Event’! Jay Fetu! JR: The Yeet master! You know it’s gonna be a great show when we’re opening with ‘Main Event’ Jay Fetu! JC: He’s been on a roll lately! He beat Latoya Hixx to become the #1 contender to the Blade Championship Blade! And he came inches away from pulling off a major upset for the Anarchy title against Miss Furry! JR: Fetu’s done a great job of studying up his opponents before their match. He gets underestimated, but he’s a student of the game! The real question tonight is how is he gonna handle a total unknown? A mystery like @getouttamyringerson? Jey climbs over the barricade and sees two Commentary of Castillo and Rogan slapping hands aloneside with Jey Fetu and he gets inside of the ring in climbs on the top rope and continues waving his Yeet hands towards the Universe and he gets down and the XWF Universe shouts replay it once more and he does and gets right back up on the top rope and repeat the same Yeeting with the Universe and hops down and music fades and waits for his Opponent to appear… The opening bell rings.
Jay Fetu immediately pounds his fists together. Jay Fetu: YEET! The crowd answers with a thunderous— CROWD: YEET! Across the ring, @getouttamyringerson simply stands there. Faceless. Motionless. Jay grins. He charges. JC: Fetu is wasting absolutely no time! Jay throws a massive right hand— —and @getouttamyringerson simply slips underneath it. Jay turns. A quick kick to the thigh from the Ninja! Another! A third! All rattled off too quick for the announce team to call it! JC: Whoa! Lightning fast kicks from that Ninja! Jay tanks the leg kicks and swings again with an overhand right! Duck. Ninja Kick. Step away. JR: This Ninja is too fast for Fetu to even Yeet! Jay snarls. He charges forward with a clothesline. @getouttamyringerson ducks. Jay rebounds off the ropes— —and the masked assassin catches him with a sudden arm drag. Jay scrambles upright. Another kick. This time to the ribs. Jay tries to close the distance, but @getouttamyringerson keeps moving, never standing directly in front of him for more than a heartbeat. JC: We weren’t sure what @getouttamyringerson would bring to the table, but it looks like his style is counterpunching Fetu is trying to establish his power, but @getouttamyringerson is refusing to let him plant his feet! JR: He's using those educated feet to drive Fetu back… keep him at a distance… make Jay chase him. JC: It’s a bold strategy, Joe! It’s working right now, but you don’t wanna let someone as explosive as Jay Fetu get downhill on you! JR: It's also dangerous for Fetu. Every time Jay misses, he's spending energy. This is basically someone making a giant angry dog chase a laser pointer.[/white] Jay finally corners him. He lunges. @getouttamyringerson ducks under a punch and springs off the ropes— SUPERKICK! JC: SUPERKICK! FROM OUTTA NOWHERE! JR: From the NINJA! We usually see Fetu doing the superkicking, not getting superkick’d himself! Jay's head snaps backward. The arena erupts in shock as Jay rolls toward the ropes, clutching his jaw. @getouttamyringerson doesn't celebrate. He simply follows. Jay pulls himself upright. His eyes are furious. He turns— FETU SPEAR! @getouttamyringerson leapfrogs over! Jay crashes into the turnbuckles! Jacuinde: FETU SPEAR MISSES! Jay turns around— —and @getouttamyringerson is already there. Forearm. Kick. Elbow. Another kick. Jay throws a desperate punch. @getouttamyringerson catches the wrist. Twists. Jay's arm is trapped. Another kick to the body. A snapmare. A stomp between the shoulder blades. Jay rolls onto his stomach, trying to get his knees underneath him. JC: Folks, I’m sorry we’re not making more comments, I’ve just… never seen this man wrestle before and it turns out his style is launching move after move after move in rapid succession! JR: Those strikes alone are more about sending a message than any one of them being a knockout blow… but they accumulate! They add up over time! It’s getting harder and harder for Fetu to will himself to keep eating these strikes cuz his only reward is another three strikes right after it! @getouttamyringerson stomps the back of one knee. Jay collapses. JR: He's dissecting him. JC: Methodically! @getouttamyringerson pulls Jay up by the head. Jay swings wildly. Blocked. Another swing. Blocked. A third. @getouttamyringerson catches it and delivers a short, sharp kick directly to the ribs. Jay folds. The masked wrestler grabs him by the head. Knee. Knee. Knee. Jay stumbles backward. @getouttamyringerson follows with a running knee that sends Jay crashing into the corner. The referee checks on him. Jay waves him off. @getouttamyringerson psssshes toward the crowd, like, this guy’s supposed to be my oppone- Fetu bursts out of the corner as @getouttamyringerson is mid-taunt! FETU SPEAR! … HE GOT ALL OF IT! @getouttamyringerson is folded in half! JR: Fetu caught the Ninja off-guard! JC: Never count out Jay Fetu! @getouttamyringerson looks like a deflated tube man… he narrowly turns over, crawling against the mat to the ropes… Fetu catches him by the leg and hooks it for a pin! ONE! TWO! THR-... @getouttamyringerson puts his foot on the ropes! JC: That could have done it right there! Great ring awareness by the Ninja! JR: But what’s he gonna do now that Fetu has knocked all the wind out of his wind style nojitsu? Jay slaps the mat. The crowd starts building behind him. CROWD: YEET! YEET! YEET! Jay gets to his feet. @getouttamyringerson rises behind him. Jay turns. SUPERKICK! …Glancing blow! @getouttamyringerson couldn’t dodge but he got a hand up to deflect the brunt of it! The Ninja is driven back against the corner turnbuckle, but remains on his feet! JC: Jay didn’t get all of that one! JR: But it still blasted that ninja halfway across the ring! Jay's eyes widen. He charges again. @getouttamyringerson sidesteps. Jay crashes shoulder-first into the post. JC: Fetu's momentum continues to work against him! JR: He's getting frustrated. And that is exactly what @getouttamyringerson wants. Jay staggers away from the post. @getouttamyringerson grabs him. Irish whip. Jay goes across the ring. He rebounds— —and @getouttamyringerson catches him with a brutal dropkick to the chest. Jay crashes onto his back… … But backwards somersaults back onto his feet, beating @getouttamyringerson back to a vertical base! JC: Holy cow! Fetu is a tank! @getouttamyringerson gets caught offsides and he rises… STRAIGHT INTO A SUPERKICK! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEET! Fetu collapses backwards ontop of the Ninja! The official counts! ONE! TWO! THRE-NOOOOOOOOOOOO! The masked wrestler kicks out! JR: I thought that was it! I thought Fetu had him! JC: That loudmouth will never live it down if he loses his first match after talking all that shit on every member of the XWF! Jay wipes his mouth. He gets to his feet. Jay Fetu: ONE YEET! Jay climbs the ropes. JC: He's going for it! Jay reaches the top. He looks down. @getouttamyringerson rolls onto his back. Jay launches. FETU SPLASH! But at the very last instant— KNEES! JC: HE GOT THE KNEES UP! Jay folds in half! He rolls away, clutching his stomach! @getouttamyringerson immediately kips-up to his feet. He looks down at Jay. Then toward the crowd. Then back at Jay. No expression. No celebration. Just calculation. Jay tries to stand. @getouttamyringerson steps forward. SUPERKICK! CRACK! Jay's head snaps sideways! He remains standing. The crowd gasps. Jacuinde: FETU IS STILL UP! Jay's knees buckle. But somehow, instinct takes over. His body stumbles backward— —and he hits the ropes. He rebounds. His eyes are completely unfocused. He's not even aware of where his opponent is. @getouttamyringerson watches him come forward. Joe Rogan: Oh, no. Jacuinde: Jay Fetu is out on his feet! There’s no reason to do this! Just pin him! Jay bounces off the ropes. His body carries him forward. And then— SECOND SUPERKICK! CRACK! The impact is vicious. Jay's entire body goes limp. He collapses face-first onto the canvas. The crowd erupts in shock. Jacuinde: ANOTHER ONE! Joe Rogan: That was fucking unnecessary! @getouttamyringerson stands over Jay. He looks down. Jay doesn't move. The Ninja plants a foot on Jay’s chest. The referee slides into position. ONE! TWO! THREE! [weventr[Winner: The Man Known as @getouttamyringerson[/weventr] JC: HE DID IT! @getouttamyringerson HAS DEFEATED MAIN EVENT JAY FETU! The crowd erupts as @getouttamyringerson slowly rises. He doesn't raise his arms. He doesn't celebrate. He simply looks down at Jay. The established XWF competitor lies motionless on the canvas. The newcomer stands over him. The man who spent weeks insisting he could expose everyone in the XWF has just done exactly that. JR: You know what? I don't like admitting this. JC: That's a first. JR Shut up. But he backed it up. Fetu lies on the mat, looking dazed… As @getouttamyringerson dusts his gloved hands, like a man who just knocked out a day’s work… The shot opens inside the office of Warfare GM and middle management superstar Peter Principle. We are focused on him as he sits behind his desk, and boy does he look nervous. A bead of sweat rolls down his forehead and he catches it with a hankie as he proceeds to speak to someone… Peter: I’m sorry, I just spoke with the Trillionaires and they advised me that if you are not cleared to compete tonight then you will have to vacate the title. Again, not my call! If it was up to me….[blue] ????: SHUT UP! The shot pans out to reveal that Samael Dyson is also there, but he’s seated in a wheelchair with a neck brace on. Behind him is his ever faithful Ubermensch, who is eyeing Peter up menacingly. Samael: I can fight! Those fucking doctors don’t know what they’re talking about. See? Samael tries to push himself up out of the wheelchair, but appears to struggle a great deal. Finally, exhausted, he slumps back down and grunts in pain. Peter shrugs and looks torn. [blue]Peter: I…I’m sorry, Samael. You’re going to have to give up the Television Championship. Samael: I’ll wipe my ass with it first! Peter: Yeah, uhhhh, please don’t do that. Samael gingerly tugs at his neck brace, grimacing in pain from the exertion of just talking. Samael: Fuck that fucking hick Judd Hollow! You should suspend him for injuring me! Peter: I’m not sure I can do that. Samael: Then you’re fucking useless! Samael gestures back towards his German giant. Samael: Come on Menschy, we’re done here! The Ubermesch casts one last baneful glance at Peter before taking hold of the handles on Samael’s wheelchair and rolling him out of the office. Peter lets out a relieved whoosh of air and slumps back in his seat. The feed then cuts back to rinside, and to the announce position. JC: Whoa! Huge news here tonight! Samael Dyson was evidently injured in his match with Judd Hollow on the last episode of Warfare, and subsequently has not been cleared to compete tonight! JR: Even bigger news, we’re guaranteed a new TV Champ here! JC: That’s right Joe! It’ll now be the returning icon Mr. Amazing Vincent Jamison versus the savage newcomer Garisha for the Television title! And I for one can’t wait! JR: Gonna be a big one, Samael or no Samael. Stay tuned, folks! JC: Folks, this next match features two competitors that are… unusual! JR: It isn’t gonna be a technical showcase, Jacuinde! This will be a trainwreck AND a fireworks show! When The Strom is Coming hits Latoya Hixx. they heard a voice laugh in the background and saw blue lights from the entrance and some smoke and rainfall coming down she walked onto the middle stage flexed her muscles. JC: We’ve seen Latoya Hixx dominate this year! She won the Leap of Faith opening battle royal where she earned a spot in the Leap of Faith match for a 24/7 briefcase! But since then, it’s been frustration after frustration for the Storm! JC: She took her eye off the ball and let her younger sister Deena steal a win in the Blade Championship Blade tournament… AND she lost the Blade Championship Blade #1 contender match against Jay Fetu! JR: But that’s the thing about the XWF, Jacuinde! One win is all it takes to get back on track! She walked straight down towards the aisle slapped a few XWF fans got inside the ring and dim the lights in the ring and she flexes her arms once more and spread her arms and climbs on the top rope and yell at her fans and tells them to let's go and climbs down off the ropes and waits for her Opponent to arrive. Her music stops, but there is still no sign of MC Edgecrusher. The crowd begins to boo. Suddenly, the entrance screen flickers to life. MC EC is standing in the middle of what remains of his hood. The once-pristine, upper-middle-class neighborhood has been reduced to rubble. The Edgecrusher spreads his arms. MC EC: Yo, YO, YOOOOOOOO, Toyyoda! You can stand in that ring all night waiting on me, but there’s a big problem. This ain’t no rasslin’ match. This is a street fight, foo! He points toward a small chunk of concrete beneath his feet. MC EC: An’ everybody knows street fights belong on the streets. The camera slowly pans across the destruction. MC EC: Kia Sorento came through here and tore my whole street down. Smashed the houses. Ripped up the pavement. But she didn’t destroy the hood. She just made it more dangerous. Every brick, every busted mailbox, every clump of dirt... a weapon. He picks up a chunk of twisted metal, immediately cuts his finger on it, and drops it. MC EC: Sharp as hell, dawg. Latoya has heard enough. She steps through the ropes and storms up the entrance ramp as the screen goes black. She breaks into a run and vanishes through the curtain, with the referee close behind. The instant Latoya steps backstage, MC EC leaps out from behind a road case with a blue recycling bin raised above his head. MC EC: WORD LIFE! He swings and Latoya stops. The Edgecrusher misses her completely. The weight of the bin pulls him around in a circle. His feet cross beneath him, and he crashes to the ground. A massive key ring in his back pocket drives straight into his hip. MC Edgecrusher’s eyes go wide. MC EC: AHHHHH! MY KEYS! JC: What the hell is going on?!? JR: I dunno but the official is calling for the bell! I think that failed ambush just started this street fight! DING DING!
MC EC arches his back as though Latoya has him locked in the most devastating submission hold in all of professional wrestling. MC EC: I GIVE UP! The Edgecrusher begins frantically slapping the concrete with both hands. MC EC: TAP! TAP! TAP! GET ’EM OUTTA MY ASS! The confused referee looks from MC EC to Latoya and then back again. MC EC: CALL IT! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, CALL IT! The referee signals for the bell. DING! DING! DING!
JR: …And MC EC landing on his keys so hard he tapped out just ENDED the match. Latoya Hixx stares down at MC EC, having won the match without ever touching him. Announcer: Here is your winner... by submission... LATOYA HIXX! MC EC remains curled up on the floor, clutching his hip while a stagehand carefully pulls the keys out from underneath him. MC EC weakly points at Latoya. MC EC: You got lucky. He rolls onto his side and winces in pain. MC EC: These streets don’t play. Word life. JC: “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to what may very well be one of the most consequential matches of the evening! Isaiah King returns to XWF competition tonight after a two-month absence, and he has a tremendous opportunity in front of him!” JR: “Yeah. And look at him. This isn't a guy who's coming back because he missed the crowd.” The arena lights go dark. A single gold spotlight shines on the stage as the opening notes of King Kunta echoes through the air, the bass kicks in, adn the screen behind the entrance ramp flashes with stark, bold letters:[/size] DO YOU SEE ME NOW? The silhouette of Isaiah King stands at the top of the ramp, first clenched at his sides, head bowed slightly. His championship belt is slung over his left shoulder, a king with a crown but no kingdom. He has on a black leather coat that cuts off at the top of his white wrestling boots. The long coat has a cracked crown embossed on it's back. I've got a bone to pick! Isaiah lifts his head, eyes longed on the ring. The gold spotlight follows his every step as he strides down the ramp, slow and methodical, like a predator closing in on his prey. Hopping onto the ring apron, he holds onto the top rope and stares into the crown, taking in the mixture of boos and cheers coming his way. JC: “King currently possesses the 24/7 briefcase he won at Leap of Faith. He can challenge for virtually any championship at any time, but tonight he has the opportunity to earn something more traditional—a place in the #1 contender's match for the Universal Championship!” JR: “Which means he's got options. But apparently tonight he's decided to punch his way toward one. Isaiah is one of the best big match competitors in the XWF. He’s scored wins over names like Sebastian Everett-Bryce, Raion Kido, Thunder Knuckles, Bobby Bourbon and Mark Flynn… Can he add Michael Graves to that list tonight?” Sliding through the top and middle rope, he places his title gently down at a corner, before draping his coat against it. He then walks to the center of the ring, spinning in a circle before pointing to his chest - he mouths: "You thought I was done?" Bringing his arms across his chest before shooting them down, he lets out a short, emphatic animalistic howl into the air before turning to face his opponent. … Suddenly, the arena goes black. Then some haunting music creeps in over the PA system as static flickers across the X-Tron and a thick fog rolls onto the stage. Micheal Graves steps through the curtain, stopping at the top of the ramp as strobe lights flicker across his face like a horror villain. Quick cuts of in-ring violence flash across the X-Tron as Graves starts down the ramp, ignoring the few fans who are reaching out for him. JC: “Michael Graves has had the year of his long and, at times… deeply-disturbing… career.” JR: “We’ve seen him in the past strap explosives to children’s throats and partake in depravity, inhumanity, and occasional organ theft. But this year, we’ve seen him beat Dickie Watson… we’ve seen him beat Isaiah King, Kieran King, Samael Dyson… AND we’ve seen him secure his first ever Universal championship.” JC: “And he almost became a two-time Universal champion! He took Sebastian Everett-Bryce to the absolute limit at Bad Medicine! They both jockeyed for control at the edge of the ramp… Graves was about to huck SEB off the side with the Graves’ Consequences, before SEB dug deep and found an Empire Kick!” JR: “Graves came up short. But you can see it in his eyes! He knows how close he came! How if he just gets one more shot, he knows exactly where to bury the knife to put down SEB and keep him down.” JC: “But he also knows to get there, he’s gonna have to through Isaiah King! Can he do what he did in March Madness and slay the Heir Apparent? Or will Isaiah even the score tonight?” Once Graves’ at ringside, he stops and sniffs the air with a crooked grin. After a brief moment, he slides under the bottom rope and crawls across the canvas, stopping in the center of the ring where he slowly rises and tosses his cape aside. …For a moment, Isaiah and Graves stare each other down… Graves looked back at the referee. When he suddenly lunges forward! JC: “Gasp! It looks like Graves isn’t waiting for the bell!” King's eyes widened. His shoulders dipped instinctively. Graves stopped himself inches away. He threw his head back laughing. King's expression remained stone cold. But his right hand flexed. JR: “That's the thing with Graves. You never know if he's actually trying to intimidate you or if he just forgot what he was doing halfway through.” JC: “I suspect even Micheal Graves doesn't know.” Finally, Graves backs into his corner and waits for the violence to begin. The bell rang.
Both competitors immediately step forward. Neither man blinked, circling cautiously.. King's eyes narrowed as he studied Graves' shoulders and hands, searching for the first opening. Graves' grin slowly widened as he noticed King studying him. JC: There are moments this Graves seems more focused than ever! That he sees more clearly than ever! Then Graves abruptly slapped himself across the face. SMACK! King's eyebrows rose. Graves smiled. JR: …And then there are times he seems nuttier than an Almond Joy. JC: But there’s a method to that madness! He knows how analytical King is, how methodical his offense is… He’s trying to make him second-guess his own calculations! JR: Or he’s just straight-up crazy. King's expression hardened again. He stepped forward and fired the first punch. Graves' eyes snapped wide as the fist came toward him. He jerked his head backward. King's jab barely missed. Graves' surprise turned into delight. He swung a heavy right hand. King ducked underneath it, his face tightening with concentration as the punch sailed over his head. King immediately pivoted. Graves' eyes followed him. King's shoulders twisted. He fired a second jab. This one landed flush. Graves' head snapped backward. The smile vanished. King saw the reaction. His expression remained cold, but his feet planted more aggressively. He threw another jab. And another. And another. JC: “Stiff jab combinations from King! He's immediately establishing the distance!” JR: “That’s that boxing training coming into play! He’s peppering Graves with jabs, looking to make Graves drop his guard to the chest, so he can aim one clean shot on the skull to drop him!” Graves staggered backward. His eyes narrowed. His tongue ran across his lip. He tasted blood. Then his eyes lit up. He smiled. King's face changed. Just slightly. A flash of annoyance. Graves interpreted it immediately. He charged. King braced himself. Graves swung a backfist. King raised both arms. THWACK! The blow smashed against King's guard. King's face twisted from the impact. He stumbled sideways. Graves' expression became almost gleeful. He charged again. King planted his feet. His eyes hardened. As Graves came forward, King slipped outside the next punch and wrapped both arms around his waist… Transitioning into a front-facelock! Graves' eyes widened. King's knees bent. His face tightened with effort. He exploded upward, looking for a… SNAP SUPLEX! … THUD! IT CONNECTS! Graves crashed onto the canvas! JC: “Beautiful snap suplex by Isaiah King!” King immediately rolled toward Graves, floating into a cover The official counts! ONE! TWO! THR-NO! Graves kicked out. JC: “Graves stays alive!” JR: “Beautiful move, but it’s gonna take a lot more than that to keep Gravy down.” King's eyebrows tightened. He immediately grabbed Graves by the wrist and dragged him upward. Graves' face twisted in irritation. He shoved King's hands away. King's eyes narrowed. Graves slapped his own chest. Then he slapped King across the face. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH The arena erupted. JC: “Graves just SLAPPED the taste out of King’s mouth!” JR: “Graves is trying to infuriate King! He’s trying that old rope-a-dope! Let him tire himself out swinging!” King froze. His eyes slowly turned toward Graves. Graves smiled. King's jaw clenched. He answered with a brutal liver shot. Graves' eyes bulged. His mouth opened. His entire body folded around the punch. JR: “Oh! That is a nasty shot!” JC: “I think that’s the issue with the rope-a-dope… in order to let your opponent tire themselves out, you hav to survive all the swings!” Graves stumbled backward, clutching his stomach. King's expression remained merciless. He stepped forward. Graves suddenly looked up. His face was contorted with pain. But his eyes were smiling. King went to grab Graves by the back of the skull… But Graves stomped on the inside of King’s foot! And then zipped behind King! King swings a wild back elbow! But Graves dips under, snagging him around the front! JC: “In a boxing match, this would be a clinch and a cause for the official to separate the two!” JR: “But in a wrestling match, it’s a great way to avoid more of those punches! Graves is too close for Isaiah to reel back and tee off!” Graves wrapped his arms around King's torso. King's arms shot downward. He tried to fight the grip. Graves' face twisted with effort. He hoisted King upward. THOOM! Fallaway slam. King's back slammed into the canvas. He immediately curled onto his side, his face contorted from the impact. Graves rolled toward him. His expression changed from pain to predatory excitement. He hooked King's leg. ONE! TWO! THR-NO! King kicked out. Graves' head snapped toward the referee. His face became incredulous. He slapped both hands against the mat. JC: “It’s gonna take more than that to take out Isaiah as well! These are two of the toughest son-of-a-guns in the XWF!” JR: “Is it son-of-a-guns or sons-of-a-gun?” Graves turned toward King, reaching for his head. From the mat, King shoved him away. Graves' face immediately twisted into outrage. He lunged. King dives forward off the mat with his forearm raised… And Graves crashed into it! CLOTHESLINE! Graves recoiled backwards, bouncing off the ropes! King stepped forward. His shoulders rotated. ROLLING ELBOW! Graves' head snapped sideways. He staggered. King's eyes narrowed. He followed with another stiff elbow. Graves ducked. King's expression flashed with surprise. Graves came up underneath him. He drove a shoulder into King's stomach. King's face crumpled. Graves wrapped an arm around his head. King's eyes widened. Graves pulled. BULLDOG! King's face smashed into the canvas. He rolled away clutching his face. Graves sat up. His breathing was heavy. His expression was ecstatic. He slapped the canvas repeatedly. JR: “Graves is enjoying this way too much.” JC: “Most competitors hate facing someone as stiff and ruthless as Isaiah King… For Graves, I think it finally feels like he’s sharing the ring with someone who speaks his language!” Graves rose.! King was already crawling toward the ropes, pulling himself up to a vertical base… With a twisted grin on his face, Graves charged. King's expression changed from pain to alarm. He grabbed the top rope. Graves launched himself. SPEAR! King dropped underneath him. Graves crashed shoulder-first through the ropes, flinging himself through the middle ropes and landing awkwardly on the apron! JC: “Wow! If King didn’t dodge that, I think Graves was aiming to put King THROUGH the turnbuckle, not into it!” His eyes widened. King turned. He saw Graves exposed. His expression hardened. King charged. Graves' face showed sudden panic, trying to pull himself back up… But King elevates! SUPERMAN PUNCH! CONNECTS! Graves wobbles, like he’s gonna fall down to the floor, but wobbles, clinging onto the middle rope… Isaiah reaches forward, seeking a front-face lock… But Graves dips his shoulder and catches King with a… EUROPEAN UPPERCUT! King staggers back toward the center of the ring… Graves zips through the ropes, snarling, almost frothing at the mouth! The Dark Warrior goes for a.. CLOTHESLINE! …But King ducks under! Graves sails past! King grabbed Graves from behind. He hooked Graves' head. INVERTED DDT! Graves' head hit the mat. He bounced once. JC: “Yee-owch! That impact looked sickening!” King rolled him over. Graves' face was dazed. King's expression remained cold. He covered him. ONE! TWO! THRE-NO! Graves kicked out. King's eyes narrowed. He sat upright. He looked down at Graves. Graves blinked. Then smiled. King stared. Graves slowly raised one finger. He pointed at King. Then he pointed at his own head. Then he started laughing. JC: “...Gravy is actually insane.” King's expression became visibly irritated. Graves suddenly reached up. He grabbed King's face, looking for a thumb to the eyes… But King managed to shove Graves backward. Graves stumbled. King advanced. Graves raised his hands. King swung. Graves blocked. King swung again. Graves blocked again. King's frustration became visible. His jaw clenched. He threw a third punch. Graves caught the wrist. His grin returned. King's eyes widened. Graves twisted the arm. King grimaced. Graves yanked him forward. TRAPPING HEADBUTT! King's face snapped backward. Graves did it again. And again. King's body rocked with each impact. Graves released him. King staggered. His eyes looked unfocused. Graves' expression turned gleeful. He grabbed King's wrist. He whipped him toward the corner. King's back slammed into the turnbuckles. Graves charged. King's eyes widened. Graves began throwing heavy-handed bitch slaps across King's chest and face. THWACK! THWACK! THWACK! King's face twisted with every impact, staggering backwards against the turnbuckle. Graves' grin became increasingly unhinged! He dives forward with a… STINGER SPLASH! … But again, King dives clear! Graves eats a face full of tunrbuckle! JC: Isaiah survives! Graves turned around, looking woozy… King drove a knee into his stomach. Graves doubled over. King wrapped his arms around him. His face hardened. He lifted. GUTWRENCH POWERBOMB! CONNECTS! JC: That’s GOTTA do it! King hooks the legs again! ONE! TWO! TH-NOOOOOOOOOOO! The crowd is on its feet now. King snarls irritatedly. JC: Graves kicks out! JR: He didn’t just kick out, Jacuinde! He kicked out faster! He’s finding more drive to fight as this match goes on, not less! He thrives on this violence! It’s filling his gas tank and he’s set to run over Isaiah King! King pulled Graves upward. Graves' eyes opened. He looked directly into King's eyes. And smiled. King's expression hardened. Graves suddenly headbutted him. King stumbled backward. Graves surged upward. He wrapped both hands around King's throat. King's eyes widened. Graves' face twisted into pure manic delight. He shoved King backward. King hit the ropes. Graves charged. King ducked. Graves bounced off the opposite ropes. King turned. They charged each other. King swung a right. Graves slipped it. Graves swung a backfist. King ducked. King fired a liver shot. Graves twisted away. Graves attempted a heart punch. King caught his wrist. King attempted a rolling elbow. Graves ducked. Graves attempted another backfist. King leaned backward. Neither man connected. They separated. Graves dipped low looking for a shoulder block, dropping his hands! But King didn’t back down! He stepped forward. Graves' eyes widened. King planted his lead foot. His shoulders began to rotate. JC: King’s looking for that knockout blow! The Royal Verdict! The discus punch came screaming toward Graves' jaw. ROYAL VERDICT! … CLAP! … Graves’ hand caught King's wrist! JC: Holy SHIT! How the hell did Graves pull that off! That punch stopped inches from his face! JR: Survival, Jacuinde! If Graves didn’t do that, his head would have gotten knocked into the parking lot! As fast as a reflex, Graves twisted King's arm. King's face contorted as Graves redirected the momentum of King’s punch… Graves ducked underneath King's arm. King's eyes widened. He tried to turn. Too late. Graves stepped behind him. His arms wrapped around King's waist. King immediately began hammering his elbows backward. Graves grunted. His face tightened with effort. King fought desperately. Graves refused to let go. King's feet left the canvas. His eyes widened in horror as Graves hoisted him upward. Jacuinde: “HE'S GOT HIM!” Graves' expression became utterly unhinged. He screamed as he rotated King across his shoulders. King's body was completely helpless. His arms flailed. His eyes searched desperately for an escape. Graves' knees bent. His face twisted with one final burst of effort. Then he drove King downward. GRAVES CONSEQUENCES!!! … CONNECTS! Joe Rogan: “HOLY SHIT!” Jacuinde: “GRAVES CONSEQUENCES! KING HAS BEEN DRIVEN INTO THE CANVAS!” The Razor's Edge powerbomb detonated in the center of the ring! King's body bounced off the canvas, his eyes totally vacant. Graves collapsed backward ontop of him. ONE! TWO! THREE!
Graves rolled onto his back. His eyes opened. For a moment, he simply stared at the ceiling. Then he began laughing. He covered his face with both hands, his entire body shaking with exhausted, delirious laughter. JC: “MICHEAL GRAVES HAS DONE IT!” JR: “What a finish! King had him dead to rights with the Royal Verdict, and Graves literally caught the punch!” Graves slowly sat up. His face was battered. His hair was soaked with sweat. He looked toward the entrance ramp. Then toward the Universal Championship graphic. Then toward Isaiah King. His grin slowly became enormous. JC: “Micheal Graves survives Isaiah King and advances to the #1 contender's match for the XWF Universal Championship at Relentless!” Graves staggered to his feet. The referee raised his arm. Graves immediately pulled his arm away and climbed onto the second rope. He pointed toward the Universal Championship graphic. Then he pointed at himself. His expression was completely deranged. JC: "Ladies and gentlemen, we have arrived at what may be the single most consequential match on this entire program. I do not say that lightly. One fall. Standard rules. And the winner walks out of Climate Pledge Arena with a seat at the table next Warfare, in a Number One Contender's match for the XWF Universal Championship!" JR: "See, this is what I love, man. Because you look at those numbers, right? Six foot seven, two seventy three. Six foot even, one ninety eight. That's a sixty pound difference. Sixty pounds. That's not a weight class, that's a whole other sport! In the UFC they'd never let this match happen. There'd be a commission. There'd be paperwork. There'd be some guy in a blazer with a clipboard going, absolutely not!" JC: "And yet here, in the XWF, the man with 30 years on his opponent is likely heading into this match as the favorite!" JR: "The prediction markets are going wild tonight!" The arena surrenders to darkness…
A suffocating hush rolls over the crowd as the lights drain away one section at a time, until what remains is a low glow bathing the entrance stage in tones of ash-gray as that of ash itself falls upon the arena. The titantron flickers once… twice… then stabilizes into a grainy, distorted image of static and slow-moving shadows.
The opening strings of The Brothers Bright – “Blood On My Name” creep through the PA system…
A rhythm begins to form. The rhythm is methodical, deliberate, like footsteps approaching…
The fog begins to raise from the floor, swallowing the ramp in seconds until nothing below the knees is visible. The stage becomes an altar of mist. It sets the tone as Father Malachi Graves steps out from behind the curtain in his typical reverend attire.
Rosary beads dangle from his fingers, swinging with each slow, deliberate step. He doesn’t look around. He doesn’t acknowledge the crowd. His gaze is fixed forward focused on the mission at hand.
He pauses at the top of the ramp, before giving a whisper upon the beads…
A dragging sound cuts through the music…
“There’s a reckonin’ a comin’.
And it burns beneath the grave…
With lead inside my belly,
Cause my soul has lost its way…”
Chains scraping metal…
Something heavy being pulled aggressively through the fog...
Judd Hollow steps into view, bare chest carved in inked sleeves that wrap his arms like scriptures of violence. Slightly torn camo pants hang loose, worn like they’ve survived too many nights that should’ve ended him. Heavy chains are draped across his shoulders, trailing down his back and dragging behind him as he walks. A bandana rests upon his head. From beneath it, bleached, uneven dreadlocks spill out—matted, worn, and almost lifeless in color…
”Oh, Lazarus, how did your debts get paid?
Oh, Lazarus, were you so afraid?”
Across his forehead he bares an inverted cross painted in thick black strokes. Smudged at the edges. His eyes are framed in dark paint, stretching beneath them like hollow sockets—giving him the look of something that hasn’t blinked in a long time.
He doesn’t look at the crowd. He looks through them…
Malachi steps slightly ahead, still clutching the rosary. He begins walking again, and Judd follows… two figures moving in sync without needing to acknowledge each other.
The chains drag louder now…
CLINK… scrape… CLINK… scrape…
The music swells, but neither of them reacts…
“When the fires, when the fires have surrounded you
With the hounds of hell comin' after you…
I've got blood…
And I've got blood on my name!”
Halfway down the ramp, Judd stops. The fog curls around his legs almost attempting to swallow him. Malachi continues forward a few more steps, then slowly turns his head back just enough to acknowledge him without breaking his composure.
A quiet exchange happens without words. Judd tilts his head slightly. A slow roll and crack of the neck with a look of hatred etched upon his face. After a quick breath, Judd begins to walk again…
But slower…
It’s almost as if every step is being measured and calculated to precision.
At ringside, Malachi circles once, rosary beads sliding through his fingers like he’s counting sins. He reaches the ring steps first and ascends without urgency, never breaking rhythm. It’s at this moment Judd steps to the ringside area before following Malachi up the steps.
Each step onto the steel stairs produces a heavy clang that echoes longer than it should. Once he reaches the top step Judd pauses again before leaning slightly forward, chains sliding off his shoulders as he drops the iron vines behind him.
Then he steps through the ropes, stomping his foot upon the ring canvas as the fog begins to settle.Malachi watches with a sinister look upon his face, lifting the rosary briefly as if blessing something that should not be blessed.
Inside the ring, Judd walks to the center. The lights begin to flicker frantically before slowing down. Meanwhile through the speakers, the music distorts for half a second, like it’s being choked or even worse-
possessed…
And then silence returns in pieces…
Judd lowers his head slightly. Malachi stands just behind him now, like a shadow. A cold look growing upon his face. The message becomes loud and clear without a single word being spoken…
[size=medium]This is more than an entrance, it’s an arrival.. JR: "Okay so this is the thing. He doesn't blink. Have you noticed that? I've been watching tape on this guy all week and I have not seen him blink one time. That's a predator thing. Sharks do that. Certain reptiles. Guys who've done a lot of ayahuasca do that." JC: "The Sin Collector, out of Black Creek, Tennessee. Judd Hollow hasn’t been in the XWF long, but he’s already left a trail of broken bodies in his wake!" JR: "This dude has been here for one pay per view cycle, and he's already one win away from a Number One Contender's match! That's an insane trajectory. That's like fighting your way into a title eliminator off two fights in the regionals." JC: "OH, THIS CROWD IS COMING UNGLUED!" The show is quickly interrupted by the sound of a distant synthesizer, followed up by horses neighing and galloping through the dirt. It fades out, leading into the riff of a guitar strumming a fiery tune. There's an inherent electricity building within the air of the arena, culminating as the drums kick in. As they do, the steadfast figure of Scoops McGee comes out from the back, a look of no nonsense etched onto his face as he takes a long look at the crowd and the squared circle. He nods, steadily walking to the ring and absentmindedly high-fiving any fans stretching out their hands who happen to be right in his way. He makes his way over to ringside, climbing up the steps methodically and stepping onto the ring apron. He saunters about halfway across the apron, taking one last long look at the crowd as they give their reception to the seasoned vet. Scoops stretches his arms out wide, accepting everything they've got to give before stepping into the ring. Scoops skulks over to his corner, pacing there and doing some small stretches to keep himself warmed up before the match begins. JR: "This is the loudest I've heard a building all year, and it's for a guy who was wrestling before I could drive." JC: "Sixty four years old! Former Universal Champion, the reigning King of the Ring, and a man who has bled in every barn, armory and arena between Sioux City and Osaka!"
When the bell rings the two men come to the center, and the size difference is somehow worse in person than it was on the graphic. Judd doesn't circle. He just stands there and lets Scoops look up at him. Scoops looks up at him for exactly as long as it takes to measure, then cracks him across the jaw with a left forearm. JC: "AND HE JUST SLAPPED THE TASTE OUT OF HIS MOUTH! No feeling out, no lock up, straight to it!" Judd's head turns. His body doesn't. He rolls his jaw once, works it side to side, and looks back down at Scoops with an expression that hasn't changed by a single degree. JR: "That's the worst thing that could've happened. Not for Judd. For Scoops. He just found out that shot doesn't work." Scoops throws it again. Same arm. Same spot. Judd eats it. Third one, and this time Judd catches the arm at the wrist, holds it up between them like an exhibit, and drives a knee into Scoops' midsection that folds him clean in half! The crowd noise drops out of the building all at once. Judd shoves him back into the corner with one hand, sets his feet, and starts working elbows into the side of Scoops' head. Not fast. Deliberate. The referee gets to four before Judd steps off on his own, unbothered, and takes a slow half circle around the ring while the old man tries to find the middle rope. JC: "And that is the pace, Joe. That is exactly what everyone warned about. He works like he's got all night and no reason to hurry." JR: "He works like a guy doing a job he's done a hundred times. That's what's freaky about it. There's no adrenaline in it. It's just routine!" Scoops stands up and fires back quicly with a boot to the gut and a snapmare, and immediately goes to the running boot to the seated man, but Judd is already up before Scoops can plant, and catches him coming in with a knee to the sternum that lifts the veteran onto his toes. Judd hooks him, walks him to the corner, sits him on the top turnbuckle, and takes a long moment to look at him. Then he bites him. JC: "Oh, come on!" JR: "He's biting his forehead! On live television! That is a hundred percent a real bite, that is not a worked anything, look at the ref!" The referee is screaming into the side of Judd's head and getting nothing back. Four. Judd releases at four and a half, steps off the middle rope, and Scoops McGee is already wearing a crimson streak down the bridge of his nose. Judd watches it run for a second. Then he reaches up, drags two fingers through it, and paints it across his own chest. JR: "Okay. Okay, see, I've done a lot of things. I've been in a lot of rooms. That is the most unsettling thing I have ever watched a human being do to another human being on purpose." JC: "He says he collects sins. I'm starting to think the man is being literal!" Judd pulls Scoops off the buckle by the hair and drops him with a sidewalk slam that shakes the ring. He goes for the cover! 1! Judd picks the shoulder up himself! JC: "He broke his own count!" JR: "Because he doesn't want it yet. That's the read, right? He's not here to win a match at five minutes. He's here to make a point, and the point takes longer!" Scoops crawls. Judd lets him get to the ropes, then stands on the back of his neck and leans, and the referee’s count starts again and again gets to four before Judd steps off unbothered. He hauls Scoops up. Knee. Elbow. Knee. Every one of them landing with the same weight and the same rhythm, like a man splitting wood. Scoops sags into the ropes and Judd puts a forearm across his throat and just holds it there, and the boos come down in sheets. Judd doesn't hear them. Doesn't tilt his head, doesn't smirk, doesn't spread his arms. Nothing. He looks at the man in front of him and only the man in front of him. JR: "That's the other thing! He doesn't play to the crowd at all. Not even a little. Most guys, you get that heat, you feed on it, it's a whole feedback loop. This guy is completely sealed off. There's no door in." JC: "Scoops trying to fire back, forearm, forearm, third one, and Hollow just walks through it and takes his head off with an elbow!" The elbow drops Scoops face first. Judd flips him over, sits astride his chest, and starts hammering down with the point of the elbow, and by the time the ref drags him off, the streak on Scoops' forehead has become a mask. Judd stands. He looks down at the mess he's made and something in his face changes, and it is not sympathy. It's appetite. He drags Scoops to the middle of the ring, plants a boot on his wrist, and stomps the fingers. JC: "The hand! He is going after the hand, and folks, that is not random. That left arm is the great equalizer for Scoops McGee. That is the Cattle Prod. That is forty years of stiff left forearms and Judd Hollow just tried to take it off him." JR: "That's fight IQ, though. I hate to say it. That's a guy who watched tape and found the one weapon in the building he can't absorb." Judd pulls the arm up into a hammerlock, wrenches it, then transitions into a short arm scissor and cranks. The referee drops down and asks. Scoops shakes his head no. Asks again. No. Judd cranks harder and Scoops answers by driving the top of his skull into Judd's jaw. Once. Twice. A third time that separates them entirely. JC: "HEADBUTTS! He's got nothing else so he's using his head!" JR: "He's using his head as a hammer while it's actively bleeding. That's a sixty four year old man. My knees hurt watching this." Both up. Scoops throws the left. Judd blocks it. Scoops throws the right, which nobody was expecting, least of all Judd Hollow, and it catches him flush! Judd staggers. The building erupts… Scoops McGee finds it, and when he finds it, Seattle finds it with him! Left forearm. Right hand. Left forearm. Judd backs up into the ropes and Scoops keeps coming, ducks the wild elbow, and comes off the far side with a lariat that drops all two hundred and seventy three pounds onto the flat of his back for the first time all night! JC: "DOWN GOES HOLLOW!" JR: "That's the one, that's the one! Look at that! He didn't try to out muscle him, he waited until the guy was moving forward and used his own momentum. That's a beautiful piece of business right there." Scoops doesn't cover. He knows better. He drags Judd up by his hair instead, hooks him, and hits an inverted atomic drop that stands the big man straight up on his toes, and then he steps back and measures. JC: "He's calling for it. He's calling for the Cattle Prod!" The short arm comes in and the left forearm comes with it and it catches Judd Hollow flush on the button and drops him into the ropes! Judd tumbles through the middle and the bottom, out to the floor, and Scoops McGee is already running. JC: "AMONG WILLOWS! HE HIT IT! SHOULDER TACKLE THROUGH THE ROPES AND HE PUT HIM INTO THE BARRICADE!" JR: "He launched himself through a set of ropes at a man sixty pounds heavier onto a concrete floor. Sixty four! I want everyone at home to sit with that number for a second." The ref starts the count. Scoops gets up first, but slower than he wants to, one hand braced on the apron, and the camera catches his chest heaving. He rolls Judd back in at six, follows him, and immediately starts climbing. JC: "He's going up! We have seen this before, and it usually ends a match!" Scoops perches on the middle rope, waits for Judd to get to a knee, and leaps. JC: "PRAIRIE DOG! DIVING BULLDOG, HE CAUGHT ALL OF IT!" Scoops hooks a leg and makes the cover! The crowd goes nuts as the referee’s hand slaps the mat! 1! 2!! 3- NO! Judd Hollow's shoulder comes off the mat like it was spring loaded! JR: “He kicked out!” JC: After a Caddle Prod, Among Willows, AND a Prairie Dog?!?! I can’t believe what I’m seeing from Judd Hollow here tonight! Scoops sits back on his heels and looks up at the lights, and you can see the math happening behind his eyes. He picks himself up to his feet, wipes away some of the blood pouring down his face, and then he waits for Judd to rise. JR: “Scoops is taking a minute to catch his breath here, but if I were him, I wouldn’t be waiting for Judd to get back up! Keep him on the mat!” JC: “It looks like Scoops’ gas tank may be running low!” As soon as Judd’s up, Scoops fires the left again and it lands, but it doesn't move Judd the way it did five minutes ago. He fires it again and Judd catches it, and this time when Judd drives the knee in, Scoops doesn't have the base to absorb it. Judd goes back to work, and now it's worse, because now there's rage in it. He stomps the head. He stomps it again. He grabs the corner of Scoops' mouth with a finger and hooks it and pulls, standing over him, and the camera cuts away while the ref counts four. JR: "Okay he's fishhooking him, that's, no, that's, I had that done to me in training exactly one time and I quit that gym!" JC: "The referee has warned him four separate times tonight. Four. And I don't believe Judd Hollow has heard one word of it. At some point, the referee may have to consider a disqualification here! Scoops is just being put through the ringer of dirty tricks!" JR: “Disqualify Judd Hollow?! Maybe if the referee has a death wish he’ll do that!” Judd is off the rails now. He pulls Scoops up and throws him into the corner and charges, full speed, all of it, no measurement, and Scoops McGee moves. Judd goes shoulder first into the ring post! JC: "AND THERE IT IS! That's the flaw! He got greedy and Scoops made him pay for it!" JR: "That's the thing about rage, man. It's the best fuel and the worst steering." Scoops staggers him out of the corner, ducks under, and hooks him from behind. The crowd knows the setup and comes to its feet in one motion! JC: "He's going for the Big Scoop! Sixty four years old, sixty pounds down, and he is going to try to lift Judd Hollow!" Scoops scoops the leg. He gets him up. The building is deafening! He gets him up…but it is not clean. The elevation isn't there. The hips aren't under it. Everyone in the arena can see it and Scoops McGee can feel it, and he drops it anyway because the alternative is not dropping it all! JC: "THE BIG SCOOP! SCOOP SLAM PILEDRIVER, HE HIT IT!" Scoops covers! 1! 2!! 3- NO! KICK OUT! JC: "SCOOPS JUST WON! SCOOPS JUST WON! Wait…..NO! NO, HE GOT OUT!" JR: "He didn't get all of it. Did you see that? He couldn't get the hips under, so the guy landed on the shoulder instead of the neck. That's the sixty pounds. That's exactly the sixty pounds we talked about ninety minutes ago." Climate Pledge Arena goes silent in a way that hurts to listen to. Scoops McGee gets to his knees. His face is unrecognizable under the red. His chest is going like a bellows. He looks at Judd Hollow lying there, then he looks at his own hands, and then he does the thing that has defined his entire career, which is get up anyway. He drags Judd to his feet. He gets him doubled over. He reaches down for the waist. JC: "He's going for the Dynamite Bomb! He’s digging deep!" Scoops pulls. Nothing moves. He pulls again, everything he has left, veins standing out on his neck, and Judd Hollow does not leave the ground. Then, Judd Hollow straightens up out of the powerbomb position like a man standing up from a chair. And he grabs Scoops McGee by the wrist. [white]JC: "Wrist control. Oh no. Joe, we have seen what comes next." JR: "Don't. Don't do it!" Judd steps back and rips him in, and the old man comes across the ring with no ability left to stop himself, and Judd Hollow meets him halfway with a knee that lands so flush the sound reaches the top of the building before the replay does. JC: "THE BLACK CREEK BAPTISM! RIPCORD KNEE! HE TURNED HIS LIGHTS OUT!" Scoops folds up and lands on his side and does not move. Judd rolls him over with a boot, kneels down, and lays an arm across him. 1! 2!! KICKOUT!!! JC: "KICKOUT! HE KICKED OUT! SCOOPS McGEE KICKED OUT OF THE BAPTISM!" JR: "How? How? That was clean, that was a clean knee, that connects with the jaw and there's no version of that where you're conscious. That is a knockout shot! That's a stoppage in any other combat sport on the planet!" Judd Hollow looks at the referee. Not angry. Curious. He holds up three fingers and the referee holds up two back, and for the first time all night something crosses the Sin Collector's face that could be described as interest. He stands. He drags Scoops up by the arm, both of them, because there is nothing holding the old man up anymore. He ducks under and gets him across the shoulders. JC: "He's got him up. He's got him up and he's running!" Judd sprints. Three steps, four, all two hundred and seventy three pounds of him building speed with a sixty four year old man lying across his shoulders, and then he drops! He drops and he drives Scoops McGee spine first across both raised knees while the momentum keeps going, and the impact snaps the veteran's whole body like a bent branch! JC: "DEVIL'S HOLLOW! RUNNING POWERBOMB LUNGBLOWER! HE MAY HAVE BROKEN HIM IN HALF!" JR: "That's a spinal injury. I'm not joking. That's not a wrestling move, that's an orthopedic emergency! This one’s over!" Judd makes the cover! 1! 2!! 3- NO! SCOOPS SURVIVES! HE GETS A SHOULDER UP! JC: "NO! NOOOO! HE KICKED OUT AGAIN! SCOOPS McGEE KICKED OUT OF DEVIL'S HOLLOW!" The crowd screams with joy! JR: "That shoulder came up at two and nine tenths and I want to know why. I want somebody to explain to me why. He's got nothing left. There's nothing in the tank, there's nothing in the arms, he can't see out of one eye. What is that? What is that made of?" JC: "Forty years, Joe. That's what that's made of!" And now, finally, Judd Hollow loses it. He comes up off the mat fast, faster than he has moved all night, and he grabs the referee by the shirt and points down at the body and screams something into the referee's face that the censors do not catch in time. Judd turns in a full circle, hands laced behind his head, and for one moment the methodical thing is gone entirely and there is just a man in a rage in the middle of a ring. When Judd turns around Scoops McGee is on one knee. Both hands on the middle rope, blood running off his chin onto the canvas, and he is trying to stand up, and he is going to keep trying to stand up, because that is the only thing left that he knows how to do. Judd Hollow walks over and pulls him the rest of the way to his feet. Then he hooks both arms, doubles him over, and lifts him straight up into the air. JC: "He's got him up! Powerbomb position!" JR: "No. No, look at the hands. Look at where the hands are. He's not hooking the legs. HE'S NOT HOOKING THE LEGS." Judd Hollow does not throw him forward. He sits. Scoops McGee comes down almost vertical, folded, the crown of his head and the back of his shoulders taking every ounce of it, as the ring makes a sickening crunching sound. JC: "THE LAST RIDE HOME." Judd puts one hand on the chest. 1! 2!! 3!!!
JC: Folks, this was supposed to be a triple-threat match with Samael Dyson’s Television Title on the line… but as we saw earlier, Samael Dyson was injured, allegedly attacked by Judd Hollow! JR: And that reduces our competitors to two! And, so long as one of these two pins or submits the other, we’re looking at a new Television champion! “Hollywood” by Motionless in White starts pumping through the arena. “It’s always on the weekend, like neon in the night, when Hollywood is bleeding it never seems to die.” A movie trailer announcer voice comes on. Ladies and gentlemen. The Man…has come home. The lights flicker. One firework shoots from the top of the arena down to the stage. Boom! A man appears, wearing a black hoodie and black leather pants with blue flames at the bottom. A spotlight shines on him as he lifts his head and pulls back the hood to reveal... 'Mr. Amazing' Vincent Jamison JC: There he is! Vincent Jamison! Mister Amazing himself! JR: After fourteen years gone, the Amazing One has come home to the XWF and it feels… Amazing! JC: Mr. Amazing has been a former XWF Tag Team champion. And he pinned XWF Legend Lee Stone! JR: But he faces a wholly unique challenge tonight! Can Mr. Amazing turn back the clock and be as amazing as we’ve seen him in the past! Mr. Amazing sports black Ray Ban shades over his eyes, which themselves are coated in face paint, red on the right eye, blue on the left. He walks to the ring with purpose and swagger as he slaps hands with people in the crowd. He hands his sun glasses off to a kid before climbing onto the ring apron. He takes off the hoodie and hands it off to the ring crew. He tests the top rope's tightness with a tug before using it to flip over the top rope, landing feet first in the ring. "Sometimes the ones you trust most are the ones twisting the knife (twisting the knife) So we keep running and we're running 'til our hearts explode We're living like we're dying, but we're still hollow So love me like I'm already your enemy" He takes in the crowd's cheers as he looks around the arena. "And just when you think you're at the top of the chain Someone comes around and puts you back in your place The hunter and hunted are one in the same" Mr. Amazing climbs a turnbuckle and raises his arms over his head in an X shape. Pyro ignites from the remaining three ring posts. "'Cause everybody's somebody's, somebody's prey Everybody's somebody's prey!" Vincent moves to the center of the ring and awaits the start of the match. … The unsettling opening of Rok Nardin’s “Bad Blood” cranks up over the speakers. Fog rises from the aisle, staying at shin level. Through the haze steps Malachi Graves. He’s clad in his reverend attire yet does not appear as relaxed and focused as he would when escorting Judd Hollow to the ring. He looks anxious, perhaps a little worried. From behind him comes Garisha. Her eyes are wild and bulging; everyone can see it despite her long dark hair being a mess and concealing portions of her face. She’s clad in simple attire. Conservative. Leaving nothing for the perverted minds in the stands and watching on TV to latch onto. JC: Garisha looked absolutely dominant in her debut match last Warfare against John Black! JR: And when her… colleague? Fellow Malachi Graves follower? When Judd Hollow lost to Dyson last Warfare via injection shenanigans, she enlisted a doctor to make her immune to that serum that put Hollow down last Warfare! JC: Barring some shocking twist, Dyson is out so the likelihood of serum-shenanigans is low… but never zero! It looks like the only thing standing in Garisha’s way from championship gold is Mr. Amazing! JR: But that’s a huge obstacle! Can Garisha get the job done?! Beside her arrives Dr. Glen. His eyes are focused intently on her, never straying as they head toward the ring. He says stuff to Garisha and Malachi. When they get to the ring steps, Malachi pulls her in close, hugging her. He then places his hands on her shoulders and says things not picked up by the camera. He then motions up the stairs and she lets out a roar, jetting up the steps in a blur and entering the ring like a woman possessed. The referee raises the Television Championship overhead one final time before handing it off to the ringside official. Jacuinde Castillo: “Ladies and gentlemen, after the unfortunate injury to Television Champion Samael Dyson earlier tonight, we are down to the two remaining challengers! Fifteen minutes on the clock! Whoever wins this match leaves here as the XWF Television Champion!” Joe Rogan: “And this is a completely different fight now, Jacuinde. No Dyson. No Insignificants. No bullshit. It's just Vincent Jamison and Garisha.” His expression is serious, almost surprisingly calm. He rolls his shoulders once, takes a slow breath through his nose, and watches Garisha from across the ring rather than rushing toward her. JC: After fourteen years away, Jamison knows better than to sprint blindly into danger. JR: Get ready, though, Jacuinde! Cuz when he starts zipping around the ring, shit gets amazing real quick! The bell rings.
Vincent Jamison immediately brings both hands up. Garisha doesn't move. Her head is slightly lowered. Her arms hang loose at her sides. Her eyes remain fixed on Vincent. Vincent's lips curl into a tiny, confident smile. He slowly circles to his left. Garisha's nostrils flare. She follows him without moving her feet at first, her head tracking him with eerie precision. Then her shoulders turn, her eyes never leaving his. Jacuinde: “Look at the difference in demeanor here. Vincent is trying to establish a rhythm. Garisha is just... staring at him.” Rogan: “Yeah. She's staring at him like he's dinner.” Vincent's smile disappears. He recognizes that she's not playing along with the usual opening dance. His eyebrows draw together as he studies her stance. He steps forward, entering her guard. Garisha's eyes narrow. Vincent suddenly shoots in, reaching for a collar-and-elbow tie-up. Garisha's expression flashes with surprise. Her arms snap upward. The two collide. Vincent immediately feels the difference. His eyes widen as Garisha's hands clamp around his shoulders with shocking force. His jaw tightens, his feet digging into the canvas as he tries to establish leverage. Garisha's lips pull back into a faint, almost feral grin. She leans forward. And shoves him backward. Vincent's boots skid across the canvas. He catches himself before reaching the ropes, blinking rapidly as he looks down at his own feet. Rogan: “Oh.” Jacuinde: “Vincent Jamison just got moved several feet backward!” Rogan: “Yeah. That's not technique. That's horsepower.” Vincent exhales through his nose. His expression hardens.
Jamison nods once, almost to himself. Then he raises both hands again. This time, he approaches more cautiously. Garisha's shoulders lower. Her eyes follow his hands. Vincent suddenly changes levels, hooking Garisha's leg while wrapping his arm around her waist. Garisha's eyes widen. She throws her weight backward. Vincent's face twists with determination as he tries to finish the takedown. Garisha's fingernails curl into Vincent's skin. She refuses to go. JC: So far this feels less like a wrestling match and more a man trying to wrangle a bear with rabies! Vincent grits his teeth. He adjusts his grip, steps around her hip, and uses his leverage to finally dump her onto her back. Garisha's head smacks the canvas. Her eyes immediately snap open. Vincent rises quickly. A flash of satisfaction crosses his face. He points toward his own head. JC: “That's veteran wrestling right there! Jamison recognized that he can't match Garisha's raw strength and immediately changed the equation!” JR: “Exactly. He's not trying to win a bench press contest.” Vincent dives for a quick cover. Garisha's expression remains blank. ONE! Garisha’s shoulder explodes off the canvas. Vincent's eyes widen.
He scrambles backward. Garisha rolls onto one knee. Vincent's expression changes again, this time into concentration. He steps behind her. Garisha's head tilts. Vincent wraps both arms around her waist. He pulls. Garisha's eyes flash with irritation. Vincent tries a German suplex. Garisha plants both feet. Vincent's face contorts as he strains. Garisha slowly begins straightening. Vincent's eyes widen. He knows he's losing the leverage battle. He quickly releases the waistlock. Garisha spins around. Her expression is suddenly furious. She charges. Vincent's eyes widen in alarm. He drops his shoulder. Garisha's clothesline whistles over his head. Vincent immediately pivots. Garisha turns. Vincent's face is determined. He surges forward. SUPERKICK! Garisha's head snaps backward. The crowd erupts. Garisha staggers. Vincent's eyes widen at the opening. He doesn't hesitate. He charges. Garisha's face twists with rage. She turns directly into him. Vincent lowers his shoulder. SPEAR! The impact folds Garisha in half. She crashes to the mat. Vincent immediately hooks both legs. Jacuinde: “SPEAR! Vincent Jamison found the opening!” Rogan: “That's what experience gets you. He didn't admire it. He went straight for the cover.” ONE! TWO! Garisha kicks out.
Vincent's expression changes from confidence to disbelief. He sits upright. Garisha remains on her back. Vincent shakes his head. He looks toward the referee. Then back at Garisha. His eyebrows rise. JR: “She's tough.” JC: “Vincent Jamison thought that might have been enough! Jamison’s gotta be wondering how he’s gonna put her down in fifteen minutes!” JR: “Hey, I just thought’ve something! If neither of these two pin or submit each other before the time limit, does Dyson retain the belt?” JC: “I hope we don’t find out!” Vincent pushes himself upright. His expression becomes increasingly competitive. He grabs Garisha by the wrist. Garisha's eyes open. Vincent pulls. Garisha's body slides across the canvas. Vincent raises his boot. His face tightens with intent. AXE KICK! Garisha rolls away. Vincent's boot slams into the canvas. Vincent's face flashes with frustration. He turns. Garisha is already standing. Vincent's eyes widen. Garisha's face is expressionless. Then her nostrils flare. Her shoulders rise. Her hands curl into fists. Vincent takes one involuntary step backward. Garisha charges. Vincent's face tightens. He ducks. Garisha hits the ropes. Vincent turns with her. Garisha rebounds. Vincent braces. Garisha's eyes lock onto him. LARIAT! Vincent's head snaps sideways. His body flips almost completely over before crashing onto the canvas. Rogan: “GOOD LORD!” Jacuinde: “Vincent Jamison nearly got decapitated!”
Garisha stands over him. Her chest heaves. Her face is twisted with anger. She reaches down. Vincent's eyes widen. He immediately rolls away. Garisha's fingers close around empty air. Vincent scrambles toward the ropes. Garisha follows. Vincent grabs the top rope. Garisha grabs his ankle. Vincent's face twists with alarm. He kicks. Garisha catches his boot. Vincent's eyes widen further. Garisha yanks. Vincent's body slides underneath the bottom rope. Garisha's expression turns frustrated. She steps through the ropes. The referee immediately begins counting. ONE! TWO! JC: “Garisha needs to be careful! She's starting to let that rage get the better of her!” JR: “Double countout! Normally that could lead to a draw, but that’s another way Dyson could retain the belt!” JC: “Joe, please, I need to believe Dyson is going to lose the belt tonight, you’re gonna give me a heart attack with all these ways he could keep it.” Garisha ignores the referee… The referee grows concerned and loses the count, chasing after her… Vincent is on his knees beside the apron. His face is pained, but his eyes are calculating. He sees Garisha coming. A tiny smile appears. He slams his forearm upward. Garisha's chin snaps back. Vincent immediately grabs the ropes and pulls himself upright. Garisha's eyes burn. Vincent's expression turns confident. He drives a knee into her stomach. Garisha doubles over. Vincent grabs her. His face shows renewed determination. He hooks her head. DDT! Garisha's forehead crashes against the floor beside the ring. The crowd gasps. Vincent rolls back onto his feet. He looks down. Garisha isn't moving. Vincent's chest rises and falls heavily. JR: That’s what I’m talking about! That’s the man they call Mr. Amazing! He looks toward the crowd. He spreads his arms. JC: “Vincent Jamison is feeling it now!” JR: “That's the old-school veteran coming out. He's realizing he can beat her if he stops trying to overpower her.” The official has the wherewithal to start the count he should have been delivering this time… THREE! FOUR! Vincent's expression suddenly changes. He grabs Garisha by the wrist. Garisha's eyes snap open. Vincent pulls her upward. Garisha's face is dazed. Vincent drags her toward the ring. He shoves her underneath the bottom rope. Then he slides in behind her. JC: Phew. This match continues! JR: But the clock keeps ticking!
Vincent gets to his feet. Garisha remains on all fours. Vincent's face is focused. He grabs her around the waist. Garisha's expression changes. Her lips curl upward. Vincent doesn't notice. He pulls. Garisha's legs straighten. Vincent lifts. Garisha's eyes widen with sudden fury. Vincent's face strains. He gets her completely off the mat. GERMAN SUPLEX! Garisha lands hard. Vincent maintains the grip. He rolls through. Garisha's eyes widen. Vincent lifts again. SECOND GERMAN! The crowd reacts louder. Vincent keeps the waistlock. His face is now almost manic with determination. JR: “He's chaining them together! This is classic Mr. Amazing!” Vincent lifts a third time. Garisha's eyes suddenly go cold. Her hands shoot backward. She catches Vincent's wrists. Vincent's face flashes with confusion. Garisha violently throws her head backward. BUCKSHOT HEADBUTT! Vincent's nose snaps backward. He releases her. His hands fly to his face. Garisha rolls onto her knees. Her breathing is heavy. She wipes her mouth with the back of her hand. She looks at the blood on it. Her expression changes. Something inside her seems to click. JC: “Oh, no. Look at those moon-yellow eyes!” JR: “That's the look of a predator that smells blood.” Vincent slowly lowers his hands. His eyes are watering. He blinks. He sees Garisha kneeling several feet away. His expression shifts from pain to confusion. Garisha looks up. Her face is almost completely blank. Then she smiles. Vincent's smile disappears. Garisha lunges. Vincent braces. Garisha crashes into him. Her arms wrap around his torso. Vincent's eyes widen. Garisha squeezes. Vincent's face contorts. She lifts him off the ground. JC: “BEAR HUG!”
Vincent's boots kick helplessly. Garisha's expression becomes increasingly furious. She begins violently jerking him from side to side. Vincent's body ragdolls. JR: “SHE'S THROWING HIM AROUND!” Vincent's face twists with pain. He tries to pry her arms apart. Garisha squeezes harder. Vincent's eyes bulge. His hands claw at her wrists. Garisha growls directly into his ear. She jerks him violently again. With all the might he can muster, Jamison throws his body weight to the side! And Garisha and he wind up against the ropes! The official moves to break it up! JC: Great veteran awareness by Vincent Jamison! JR: But did you see Garisha’s strength! Vincent couldn’t have escaped her grip with the jaws of life! The crowd roars. At the count of four, Garisha releases him. Vincent collapses onto his knees.
Jamison coughs. His face is pale. Garisha charges. Vincent' throws himself sideways. Garisha misses. She hits the ropes. Vincent rolls to his feet. His expression changes. The fear gives way to instinct. He turns toward her. Garisha rebounds. Vincent steps forward. He hooks her. His face becomes fiercely determined. SPINEBUSTER! Garisha crashes onto the canvas. JC: That might have done it! We might have a new Television champion! Vincent immediately drops on top of her. ONE! TWO! THR-NOOOOOO! Garisha kicks out. Vincent's face is stunned. He sits up. Garisha remains on the canvas. Vincent looks toward the clock on the X-Tron!
He wipes blood from beneath his nose. His expression hardens. Then he looks down at Garisha. Garisha slowly rolls onto her side. Her eyes flutter. Vincent's breathing is ragged, but his posture straightens. The old confidence returns to his face. He slaps his own chest. “Come on!” Garisha's brow furrows. She begins pushing herself up. Vincent backs toward the corner. His eyes remain locked on her. His fists clench. He knows exactly what he wants. JC: “Vincent Jamison is backing into the corner! What's he got in mind?” JR: “Something amazing, Jacuinde!” Garisha reaches one knee. Vincent's expression tightens. He suddenly bursts forward. And Garisha comes to life charging at him! But Jamison, zipping like a superhero, dips into a forward roll! Garisha sails past! She kicks off the corner, looking to keep building speed! But Jamison stops on a dime! Garisha charges… RIGHT INTO AN AMAZING SUPERKICK! Garisha's head snaps violently backward. Her eyes roll. Her body goes limp. She collapses flat onto the canvas. The crowd erupts. Vincent's face explodes with excitement. He throws both fists into the air. JC: “SUPERKICK! GARISHA IS DOWN!” JR: “HE CAUGHT HER! HE CAUGHT HER CLEAN!” Vincent looks toward the clock.
His expression changes from excitement to absolute urgency. He scrambles toward the ropes. He climbs. Garisha doesn't move. Vincent's eyes are burning with determination. He stands on the top turnbuckle. He looks down. Garisha is sprawled in the center of the ring. Vincent's face becomes almost serene. JC: After fourteen years away, after all the doubt, after everyone wondering whether Mr. Amazing still had anything left— This is his moment. This is AMAZING! He spreads his arms. The crowd rises. JC: “AMAZING SPLASH!” JR: “HERE WE GO!” Vincent leaps. Garisha's eyes suddenly snap open. Her face contorts. AMAZING SPLASH! … No! At the absolute last possible instant, she rolls away. Vincent's eyes widen in midair. He realizes he's going to miss. His body twists instinctively. He tucks his shoulder. Instead of crashing chest-first onto the canvas, Vincent rotates through the landing, hitting the mat on his back and immediately rolling with the momentum. The crowd gasps. Then erupts. JC: “HE ROLLED THROUGH!” JR: “OH MY GOD! DID YOU SEE THAT?! THAT'S WHY THEY CALL HIM MR. AMAZING!” Vincent pops back onto his feet. His face is stunned. He spins around. His expression changes. Garisha is already standing. Her eyes are wild. Her shoulders are hunched. Her arms hang loosely at her sides. She looks like something that has just been awakened. Vincent's mouth drops open. He takes one step backward. Garisha's expression suddenly hardens. Her entire body coils. Vincent's eyes widen. He barely has time to raise his hands. Garisha POUNCES. She explodes forward like a cannon shot. Her entire body leaves the canvas. POUNCE! Garisha crashes into Vincent with such force that his feet leave the mat before his back violently slams against it. The ring shakes. Vincent's eyes go wide. His mouth opens in shock. Garisha drives through him and keeps him pinned against the canvas with sheer momentum. JC: “POUNCE! POOUNCE! POOUNCE!” JR: “SHE JUST RAN THROUGH HIM!”
Garisha's face is twisted into an animalistic snarl. She hooks both legs. Vincent's face is frozen in disbelief. The referee drops. ONE! TWO! THREE!
DING! DING! DING! The crowd explodes. Garisha immediately rolls away. She sits upright. Her chest heaves. Her eyes remain fixed on Vincent. The referee grabs the Television Championship. JC: “GARISHA HAS DONE IT! GARISHA HAS PINNED MR. AMAZING! GARISHA IS THE NEW XWF TELEVISION CHAMPION!” JR: “What a fight! Vincent Jamison came within inches of pulling off the comeback of the year, but Garisha just wouldn't stay down!” JC: “What a return for Vincent Jamison! What a victory for Garisha! And what a fifteen minutes we have just witnessed!” inner and NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEW XWF TELEVISION CHAMPION: ????[/weventr] The cameras swept across the arena as the noise grew louder, it was indeed Main Event time. There was no championship hanging on the line, but for Remi Storm, the stakes were higher than a million dollar bet on your favorite sports book app. If Remi could somehow defeat SEB tonight, she would punch her ticket to Relentless and earn the opportunity to challenge him for the Universal Championship. Tig Collins stood in the center of the ring, microphone raised. Tig Collins: “Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall! JR: A lot on the line right now, should Remington Storm defeat the Universal Champion tonight, she will get a chance to fight Sebastian Everett-Bryce again at Relentless! JC: Yeah, and that match would then be for the biggest prize in XWF the Universal Championship. This is a big opportunity for Remi… The arena lighting suddenly dropped to black. Pink and silver lightning flashed across the screens as the opening of Dead Posey’s “She Went Bad” blasted through the speakers. She went bad… Made her pretty little world turn black… Miss perfect never had a chance… Threw a middle finger up… She’s going to hell anyway… Twin pink spotlights landed upon the entranceway, and Remington Storm skipped through the curtain to an enormous reception. She stopped at the top of the ramp, tossing her hair over her medically taped shoulder before flashing that familiar mischievous grin. Tig Collins: Introducing first, from Wellesley, Massachusetts, weighing in at one hundred seventeen pounds… Reminnnnnnngtoooooon Stoooooorrrm! With a smile, she scampers down towards the ring as the spotlights follow. Once there, she grabs ahold of a post, swinging around with a slight wince of pain while blowing a kiss to the camera. JR: You can see the excitement all over Remington Storm tonight, but she better keep those emotions under control. This is the biggest opportunity of her young career. JC: Excitement is exactly what Sebastian Everett-Bryce wants, Joe. He want Remi to get ahead of herself. If she makes that mistake against SEB, he’ll tie her into a knot and send you home in a shoebox. JR: I do know one thing, she better watch the audience and the fans more closely after the week she’s had! She hops up onto the apron and rolls over the top rope. She crosses to the other side, giving a little shimmy dance as she does. She nimbly leaps onto the turnbuckle, lifting both hands over her head and flashing a cocky grin. The spotlights cut out, the lighting strobing pink and silver before returning to normal as Remi steps down onto the mat. She then swings her shoulder in wide circles, trying to work the kinks out of it from being ran down earlier in the week. Sirens pierced through the building. Tig Collins: And her opponent… He is the XWF Universal Champion… The lights in the arena cut out entirely, and the fans begin to buzz. The darkness holds for a moment before… Fame by Royal Deluxe kicks in. [align=center]Fame, fame, fame, fame Fame, fame, fame, fame Fame, fame, fame, fame Fame, fame, fame, fame Fame, fame, fame, fame Fame, fame, fame, fame Fame, fame, fame, fame Fame With each of the hits of the word “Fame” a spotlight flashes back and forth between the stage and a random spot in the audience. On the screen, the images alternate between key moments from the career of Sebastian Everett-Bryce, S.E.B. and Empire. After the final Fame, the lyrics end. Na, na, na, na… The screen flashes with the words Welcome to the Empire. As the beat drops, Sebastian Everett-Bryce flings his arms wide, lit up by a bright spotlight, his head covered by the hood of his jacket. He stands in the middle of the ramp, the lights beating down on him, before looking out at the crowd. He wears a long jacket, zipped to the waist. The jacket, which is cut away at the bottom and only runs down the back of his legs, is patterned with an elongated Union Flag, but it appears to be cracked, and broken. Distressed. His tights are short, with the initials S.E.B. emblazoned upon the front. Fame makes a man take things over Fame lets him loose, hard to swallow Fame puts you there where things are hollow It's not your brain, it's just the flame That puts your change to keep you insane (sane) The lights lift and Seb makes his way to the ring, stretching his neck from side to side as he walks, he slaps hands with fans as he walks, stopping with a random fan and staring into the camera and shouting “My Empire, right here!”. He climbs up the steps and steps through the ropes before standing in the middle of the ring. Fame, what you like is in the limo Fame, what you get is no tomorrow Fame, what you need you'll have to borrow Fame, fame, fame, fame Fame, fame, fame, fame He pulls back his hood. Is it any wonder? Is it any wonder? Is it any wonder? Is it any wonder? (Ooh) The beat drops again, he flashes his arms out to a side, a satisfied smirk upon his face, he holds the position for a moment, to allow the crowd to take pictures, before pulling off his Jacket to reveal “EMPIRE” on the back of his tights. [pink]Tig Collins: Weighing in at 238 pounds… Sebastian Everett-Bryyyyyyccccce!! As his music comes to an end, Seb backs to the corner and leans, with a satisfactory smirk upon his face. Remi steps forward trying to scout the Universal champion, as she does Seb says something to her, which causes Remi to push him. The audience erupts as they can sense the war getting ready to begin. The referee wedges himself between them before things can start prematurely. JR: Whatever SEB just said, Remington Storm did not appreciate it. JC: That’s the champion playing the game. The bell hasn’t even rung and he’s already wrestling her. This is what we were talking about. Remi has to stay on her game. DING! DING! DING!
Remi explodes across the ring. SEB doesn’t expect it. A Pump Kick cracks Sebastian underneath the jaw and sends him stumbling backward into the ropes. Remi charges again, driving an elbow into his chest. Remi stays on the attack, as she climbs to the second rope and begins raining blows onto the champs forehead… 1… 2… 3… 4… 5… 6 SEB pushes Storm off of him, but Remi stays motivated, running forward and dropkicking Sebastian square in his chest as he goes to leave the corner. Both boots crash into SEB’s chest. Sebastian rolls underneath the bottom rope. The audience erupts as SEB paces around. Remi immediately grabs the top rope, and boosts herself up. SEB turns around just in time to see her launch herself over it! Remi crashes directly into Sebastian and both competitors hit the floor. JC: Crossbody Block from Remington onto Sebastian Everett-Bryce outside the ring. Remi is throwing everything at SEB tonight! JR: And this is exactly what I’m talking about! It’s working now, but you can’t fight SEB like you’re playing a video game with unlimited lives! JC: All she has to do is stay focused Joe Remi jumps to her feet and screams toward the crowd. She reaches down and grabs SEB by the hair, rolling him into the ring. Remi tries a quick pin attempt… ONE! . . TWO! . KICK OUT!! Remi barely hesitates. She grabs Sebastian’s wrist pulling him to his feet. Remi goes for an Irish whip, but Sebastian holds on and pulls Remi back, kicking her in the stomach and shoving her head between his legs. SEB lifts her into the air, and dumps her violently onto the canvas with a Powerbomb. Remi rolls around in the canvas, clenching her back and shoulder. Sebastian drops to one knee beside her, finally showing a look of annoyance. Sebastian stands up and reaches down, grabbing Remi’s arm, tugging it harshly trying to dislocate her shoulder. He looks around the arena and then stomps down onto her shoulder. JC: Seb trying to exploit a weakness now. He’s targeting Remi Storm’s bad shoulder. JR: Sebastian is like a shark and he smells blood. Remi better do something quick. Sebastian leans forward, and reaches for Remi again grabbing her wrist, but Remi rolls onto her back and kicks him repeatedly in the face with her free leg. Sebastian releases her after the third shot and Remi scrambles upright. Seb runs forward and jumps into the air, looking for a Roundhouse, but Remi ducks under it. When SEB returns, she catches his wrist, spinning him into a wrist lock. Sebastian tries reversing, but Storm releases it. Sebastian runs into her direction and she jumps into the air wrapping both legs around Sebastian’s neck, sending him flipping to the mat with a hurricanrana. Sebastian stands quickly, but staggers. Remi runs forward again. She rolls behind Sebastian and cradles him up with a roll up pin attempt… ONE! . . TWO! . . KICK OUT!! Sebastian powers out and sends Remi rolling across the canvas. Both competitors scramble back to their feet. It’s Remi who charges first. Sebastian sidesteps her and grabs her around the waist, locking her up and tossing her backwards with a German Suplex! Remi crashes across her shoulders and neck, but SEB refuses to release his grip. He rolls through, dragging Remi back to her feet with him. Keeping the waist locked, SEB tosses Remi back with a second one. Again, Sebastian maintains the waistlock… JR: Now we’re entering Sebastian Everett-Bryce’s world. He could be looking for a trifecta?! JC: This is why they call him the Sophisticated Suplex Machine. To Sebastian, right now Remi Storm is basically a bag of luggage. SEB drags Remi upright for a third time… Remi desperately throws an elbow backward, connecting square to Sebastian’s jaw. She fires another— and another… Another elbow. Finally, Sebastian breaks his grip. Remi turns around and steps forward, planting a well timed super kick to SEB’s chin. Sebastian stumbles backward and comes forward off of the ropes. Remi goes for a clothesline, but Sebastian ducks. He rebounds off the ropes and comes back into Storm’s direction. Seb plants his feet… Sebastian’s boot cracks against Remi in the jaw as he lands a super kick of his own. Remi drops to the canvas as Sebastian drops on top of her with a half attempted pinfall. ONE! . . TWO! . . KICK OUT!! Sebastian immediately grabs the arm Remi raises off the canvas. He twists it behind her back and drives his knee directly into her injured shoulder. Remi screams… JR: Once again, Seb is going back to that injured shoulder! Remi is really feeling the pain now! JC: I mean it’s a smart tactic. Sebastian is the XWF Universal Champion for a reason, and he’s showing exactly why tonight! Sebastian pulls backward on her wrist, putting tension on the shoulder as Remi desperately tries to turn her body enough to relieve the pressure. Remi reaches for the ropes… She’s too far away... Sebastian pulls harder. Remi grits her teeth and slowly forces herself onto one knee. SEB smartly drives another knee into the shoulder causing Remington to drop back down. Sebastian maintains the wristlock. He rolls to a standing position and cranks even harder. Remi lets out a scream of pain, as SEB begins to pull her to her feet. He begins to mock Remi as her facial expression displays nothing but pain. The mocking lights a fire in Remi however as she digs down deep and counters it flipping under Sebastian and sending him toward the corner with an arm drag. Remi clutches her shoulder, fighting through the pain. SEB quickly gets back to his feet as Remi charges forward with the quickness and drills him with a standing rising knee! On the way down, Remington grips the back of Sebastian’s head, she falls flat into sit-out position delivering a facebuster, causing the XWF Universal Champion to roll into his back. JC: Remington Storm is mounting a comeback! JR: She’s got to keep this up if she wants that match at Relentless. She needs to apply pressure but also be on guard!! Remi stands. She runs into the ropes and rebounds forward. Remi jumps into the air and delivers a standing shooting star press onto SEB, hooking the leg for a pinfall in one swift motion as she lands! ONE! . . TWO! . . KICK OUT! Remi immediately grabs Sebastian’s arm on the way to her feet. She tries to lift Seb into a fireman’s carry position, but Sebastian drives a elbow into the back of her head. Remi stumbles backward. It gives Sebastian enough space to take a quick breath. SEB reaches out and grabs Remi’s arm. He pulls her into him locking her head between his arm. Sebastian drops back spiking Storm head first onto the mat with a DDT which is immediately followed by a kip-up… JR: Seb with a second wind now. He’s trying to get back into rhythm… JC: Look Joe, Remington won’t be denied. She’s already rising to her feet!! As Remi stands, Sebastian turns and locks his hands around her waist. SEB hits a belly-to-belly suplex onto Remi. She rolls onto her stomach to wisely avoid a pin, but this gives SEB another plan. Sebastian locks Remi’s waist. He tosses her back with another German suplex, in which he rolls over her— lifting again. The second German suplex he releases sending Remington Storm crashing back first against the corner turnbuckles. SEB rolls to his feet and rushes forward finishing The Conquest! Sebastian rolls Remi onto the ground and drops onto her hooking a leg… ONE! . . TWO! . . KICK OUT! Remi kicks out!! Sebastian climbs to his feet and wipes sweat from his forehead while Remi lets out a chuckle. This causes Sebastian to get irritated… JC: Sebastian hit The Conquest, but it just couldn’t keep Remi down!! JR: Remi has the heart of a survivor right now!! SEB plants his feet beneath himself… Remi’s eyes widen… Sebastian stands up and begins a barrage of violent stomps on Remington Storm’s bad shoulder. Each stomp is more violent than the next. Remi desperately tries to cover the shoulder with her opposite arm, but Sebastian stomps through her defenses. Again… Again… Again… The referee finally steps between them and forces SEB backward. Sebastian raises both hands innocently, but the damage has already been done. Remi rolls toward the ropes clutching her shoulder. JC: Sebastian Everett-Bryce is picking Remington Storm apart right now. Every single time Remi starts building momentum, he goes right back to that shoulder! JR: He’s trying to take away half of her offense. You can have all the heart in the world, but eventually the body stops listening. Sebastian brushes past the referee and grabs Remi by the hair, pulling her onto her knees. Remi fires a shot into his stomach! Remi fires another… Sebastian drives a knee into her chest stopping her momentum again. Sebastian feels comfortable and grabs her around the waist once more He pulls her up— German Suplex! Remi flips completely over and lands on her feet. Sebastian turns around and is blasted in the gut with a pump kick that sends him staggering… Remi charges. Sebastian attempts a clothesline, but Remington ducks. She runs forward, and jump into the air. Remi plants both feet on the middle rope and comes flying back, connecting a springboard Dropkick. Both feet slam into Sebastian’s chest and send him through the ropes to the outside! Remi drops to one knee after the landing, immediately grabbing her shoulder. JC: You can see every move is costing Remi now! JR: But she’s still moving, and that’s what separates good from great in this business. Remi Storm is here to make a name for herself at all costs! Sebastian pulls himself upright on the floor. Remi sees him after taking a quick recovery moment. She looks toward the ropes. Remi takes off and jumps into the air, clearing them with a tope con giro and landing onto SEB outside the ring! Both competitors lay motionless on the floor! The audience explodes. JR: Storm just threw all caution to the wind!! JC: That’s what this opportunity means to her! The Universal Champion is looking like he might have a bigger fight on his hands than he originally thought. Remi slowly pushes herself upright. SEB crawls toward the apron. Remi grabs him and rolls him underneath the bottom rope. Remi climbs onto the apron as Sebastian struggles to stand upright. Remi grabs the top rope. She launches herself forward planting both feet on Sebastian with a springboard Dropkick. SEB gets blasted across the ring. Remi immediately crawls toward him. She reaches forward and grabs Sebastian’s wrist. JC: Look at the arm! JR: Remington is going for it!! Remi steps over. Step Up Rolling Cross Armbar!! SEB immediately clasps his hands together. Remi pulls, but Sebastian refuses to release his grip. Remi adjusts her legs and pulls again causing SEB’s hands separate! JR: SHE’S GOT IT! JC: Remi weathered the storm and now she’s got Sebastian Everett-Bryce in a vulnerable position!! Remi extends the arm as Sebastian screams in pain… SEB reaches toward the ropes. He can’t manage to touch them. He begins trying to shimmy himself away. This just causes Remi to crank harder. JC: Sebastian might have no choice but to tap out?? SEB rolls! Remi rolls with him! Sebastian gets onto one knee. Still, Remington Storm refuses to release the arm. SEB digs in deep and gets to both feet… Sebastian lifts Remington completely off the canvas and then slams her back down onto her back with enough force for her to release the hold. Sebastian favors his arm, shaking some life back into it. This gives Remi enough time to get to her feet. Sebastian spins in Storm’s direction and gets kicked low. The referee gives a aggressive warning as SEB buckles forward. Remi steps forward and locks the butterflies in. She lifts Sebastian to his feet and delivers a picture perfect butterfly backbreaker. Sebastian rolls onto his stomach, Remi reaches over and drops a arm on his chest, looking for a pin… ONE! . . TWO!! . . THR—!!! KICK OUT!! Seb rolls a shoulder up. Remi is in disbelief, and pulls herself to a standing position. Remi walks toward the corner and begins to ascend to the top rope. She makes her way up and gets herself steady. Remington jumps into the air getting massive height as she does. She comes crashing down with the Twisted Tempest!! There was nobody home! Sebastian rolled out of harms way at the last possible second. He reaches out and grabs the bottom rope using it as a crutch to start an exhausted climb to his feet. SEB stands and turns to see Storm making a groggy stand. He rushes behind her and quickly wraps his arms around her neck. JR: SEB has Nightfall locked in!! JC: The champ has taken many out with this, will Remington be his latest victim? Remi starts to fight for her life as Sebastian struggles to get the choke locked in tighter. She charges backward sending them both rolling through the middle rope and crashing to the floor, it doesn’t stop Sebastian Everett-Bryce from keeping Nightfall locked in though. Remi struggles to stand, rolling onto her stomach, SEB still wrapped around her back. She comes to one knee, and Sebastian tightens his grip. Remi starts shaking him back and forth. Remi won’t stay down… She gets to a standing position with SEB on her back. Remi runs backward, smashing Sebastian’s back into the metal ring post. It’s still not enough… She swings Seb forward and send him flying over her back to the floor. Remi drops to a knee as Sebastian goes to stand. Meanwhile the official is beginning a ten count. 1… 2… 3… SEB turns around and Remi Storm is already standing. She runs forward and wraps her arm around his neck. Remi jumps into the air and twists, kicking off of the ring post delivering and Tornado DDT to Sebastian, both competitors lay exhausted outside the ring JC: They need to be mindful of the count!! JR: You’re not kidding, you would hate to see it end like this but this match has already tested both of their limits! 4… 5… 6… Both gasp for air laying outside. The referee looks out as they lay beaten and exhausted… 7… 8… Remi suddenly rolls onto her stomach and pushes herself upright. Sebastian grabs the apron and pulls himself up beside her. 9… Both competitors dive underneath the bottom rope to a huge eruption from the audience. The referee immediately waves off the count as Remi and Sebastian lie exhausted on the canvas. JR: Both of them made it! Somehow, someway, this fight continues!! JC: I don’t know how much either one of them has left, Joe! Remi crawls toward the ropes, using them to drag herself upright. Across the ring, Sebastian does the same. They lock eyes as they stand almost simultaneously. Remi’s expression changes. She screams and charges… SEB swings wildly, Remi ducks… She catches Sebastian around the waist and with one desperate show of strength muscles him off the canvas, drilling him violently with a Stormchaser!! Remi collapses across his chest… ONE! . . TWO!! . . THRE—!!! KICK OUT!! Remi’s eyes go wide. JC: Stormchaser! Remington hit that Stormchaser almost perfect and somehow, SEB kicked out! JR: She was a fraction of a second away from pinning the Universal Champion! Remington Storm is starting to show that she will be a force in the XWF for years to come! Remi slaps the canvas as frustration takes over. She climbs onto Sebastian and begins hammering him with everything she has left… It’s almost like a Street Fighter combo… Right hand, right hand, elbow to the crown, forearm, left hand. Each punch elbow and forearm connecting on SEBs face and head with purpose. It even opens a cut above his eye! SEB covers up, but Remi stands and grabs his wrist yanking him upright… Remi pushes him back and jolts forward delivering a super kick. Sebastianfalls into the ropes but somehow remains standing. Remi screams and charges for another—Empire Kick!! Sebastian catches her flush. Remi crumbles to the canvas. SEB drops beside her but doesn’t have enough left to immediately capitalize. JR: Empire Kick! Sebastian caught her coming in!! JC: But look at the champion! He can’t even make the cover! JR: Remi’s onslaught was enough to take Sebastian out of his game. She said she hated his face, and we all know what happens when Remi hates someone’s face!! Sebastian finally crawls over. Remi rolls away before he can get to her. SEB grabs at her ankle, but Remi kicks him in the face, causing the cut above his eye to open more. She scrambles upright… Sebastian rises with her. Remi swings— SEB ducks… Remi loses balance and her body spins away in exhaustion. Sebastian grabs her from behind wrapping his forearm across her neck again. JR: Nightfall! Sebastian locking Nightfall in once more!! Sebastian locks the Sleeper Hold underneath Remi’s chin and immediately drops his weight backward, dragging Remington down with him! Remi thrashes violently. She claws at Sebastian’s forearm. She kicks her legs against the canvas. JC: She escaped it outside the ring, but there’s nowhere to go now! Remi refuses to stop fighting. She rolls onto her side. Sebastian rolls with her and when he does he wraps his legs around her waist and digs in deeper. Sebastian rolls onto his back and arches himself back more. Remi reaches desperately toward the ropes. Her fingertips come within inches… So close… Sebastian pulls her away!! JR: Remington Storm just won’t give up!!! Remi throws her head backward into Sebastian’s face, connecting with the wound over his eye. His grip loosens— Remi nearly slips free… Sebastian immediately readjusts and cinches Nightfall underneath her chin again. This time he chokes even tighter. Remi’s movements become frantic. With each wiggle and reach they get slower. Her hand reaches toward the bottom rope again. She grabs at it with the tips of her fingers but she can not get a grip on it and her hand slips off. Her fingertips hover in the air, and then out of nowhere they drop. JC: Remi?! The referee grabs Remington’s wrist. He lifts it for the first time… It drops. He lifts it a second time… It drops. The audience begins to roar as the referee grabs Remi’s wrist a third and final time. He lets it go and a sign of life is anticipated, but Remington has nothing left in the tank as her hand drops to the mat… DING! DING! DING!
Sebastian immediately releases Nightfall and rolls onto his back, completely exhausted. He gives a nod and looks over at an unconscious Remington Storm with a surprised look. JR: That’s it! Remington Storm never tapped out! Sebastian Everett-Bryce had to choke her unconscious! What a fight from Remi!! JC: And look at the Universal Champion, Joe! Sebastian won this match, but Remington Storm made him earn every damn inch of it! Sebastian slowly sits upright, still staring across the canvas at Remi as the referee checks on her. For once, there’s no immediate sneer. No mocking grin. Just exhaustion… The referee helps Sebastian to his feet and raises his arm. Tig Collins: Ladies and gentleman the winner of this match by submission… The XWF Universal Champion, Sebastian Evvvvvverett-Bryyyyycccce!! Remi slowly begins coming around as Sebastian is handed the Universal Championship. He takes it, but his attention remains on Storm. JR: Sebastian Everett-Bryce leaves tonight with the victory, but Remington Storm just proved she belongs in the conversation. JC: She wanted Sebastian, she got him. And the Universal Champion had to damn near put her to sleep permanently to stop her… what a fight!! Remi sits against the bottom turnbuckle, one arm wrapped around her injured shoulder, furious with herself despite the ovation raining down around her. Sebastian backs toward the ropes with the Universal Championship over his shoulder. Before stepping through them, he looks back at Remi to end the sh- Suddenly, there’s an explosion of fiery pyro at the top of the stage! JR: What the hell was that?! Both SEB and Remi look towards the source of the pyro, intrigued by the sudden occurrence. But then, a knowing smile appears on Remi’s features. Suddenly, the entire arena is dropped into the metaphorical pits of hell as all of the arena lights turn blood red and every screen in the arena starts broadcasting images of roaring flames. JC: This wasn’t on the agenda for tonight! And then, accompanying the eerie lights and visuals the harsh grating sounds of Rammstein’s Mein Teil explode over the speakers! The music is so loud its almost painful, and when combined with the lights and flames it creates a highly disorienting effect on everyone present! But that’s not all! Because just then, Samael Dyson’s flunkies the Ubermensch and the Rollerwhores pour out of the crowd and hit the ring! Remi Storm steps aside as the Rollerwhores slide in under the bottom rope beside her and immediately start attacking the Universal Champion! Meanwhile, the giant Ubermensch swings one tree like leg over the top rope and gets in the ring too! Remi laughs at SEB as he gets attacked! JC: Samael Dyson’s followers are attacking the champ! JR: Good call, JC! I think we can see that! SEB starts to rally, throwing punches at the whores despite the blatant ambush. SEB clotheslines Elektra over the top rope, and then lays out Violet with a short arm clothesline, only to be met by a giant big boot to the face from the Ubermensch! JR: Look at the entrance! It’s Samael Dyson! And he’s flanked by Korvayne and Lionel Pennyfarthing of the ART Foundation! And…..and……oh God….. JC: Oh……oh no…….oh this can’t be happening…I thought he was injured?!!. Samael saunters down the ramp, arms outstretched Razor Ramon style with a beaming, evil grin on his face. Because in his foremost outstretched hand? The 24/7 BRIEFCASE BABY! JR: OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! Is he?! Back in the ring, the Ubermensch picks SEB up by his hair and drills him back into the canvas with a swinging Blackhole slam! Remi then gets in the mix, rushing over and stomping on SEB! And that’s when Lionel Pennyfarthing brings a mic up to his mouth! You can barely hear him over the sound of the grating Rammstein tune, but ultimately you can make him out as he gestures towards Samael grandiosely and says… Lionel Pennyfarthing: Greetings and salutations good people! It is my esteemed honor to announce an ART FOUNDATION production of…..A 24/7 BRIEFCASE CASH IN ON SEBASTIAN EVERETT-BRYCE! JC: OH MY GOD! IT IS! IT’S A CASH IN! IT’S A CASH IN!
Lionel points to the ring and Samael bolts under the bottom rope, sliding in on his stomach with the briefcase in hand. SEB tries to stagger to his feet but Remi and the Ubermensch are on him, clubbing away! Korvayne and Lionel get in the ring now as well! Korvayne’s talking mad shit at SEB as he tries to fight back! SEB clubs the Ubermensch with a jumping forearm, then lands a kick on Remi! But Samael smashes him in the back of the head with the briefcase, dropping him once more! JC: It’s an all out gang assault on the Universal Champion! My God! Samael drops the briefcase onto the canvas and gestures for someone to pick SEB up again! Korvayne gets in the mix now, helping Remi force SEB to his feet! But the champ still has fight left in him! He elbows Korvayne! Then turns and lariats Remi! Lionel starts to approach SEB but SEB reels back a fist and Lionel ducks and covers instead! Elektra and Violet get back in on the action though! Violet goes for a superkick with that steel skate, but Seb ducks under it, grapples Violet and hits a release suplex on her! Samael screams out a curse and orders Elektra and the Ubermensch to attack! Elektra lands a chop on SEB that spins him around and right into the Ubermensch’s clutches! The Ubermensch lifts the champ up by the throat and chokeslams him! JR: This is too much! Even for SEB! It’s literally a seven on one assault! Korvayne and Remi now pick Sebastian up again and throw him towards a waiting Samael, who boots the champ in the stomach and hits a sick implant DDT right onto the briefcase! Samael then wrenches SEB up again and DDT’s him onto the briefcase a SECOND TIME! This time, the champ’s forehead is busted open, weeping blood everywhere! Samael smears his hand in the Universal Champion’s blood and applies it to his face, creating a garish crimson mask on his features! Korvayne then shouts for Samael to end it! He leers at the champion sadistically, picks him up yet again and DDT’S HIM INTO THE BRIEFCASE A THIRD TIME! SAMAEL COVERS BRYCE! THE REF LOOKS STUNNED BUT DROPS FOR THE COUNT! 1…… 2…………. 3!!!!!!!
Samael rushes to his feet, screaming triumphantly and raising his hands in the air! You can hear the chorus of boos from the fans even over the grating music! Some of them even throw trash in the ring! But the ART Foundation pays them no mind! Lionel grabs the Universal Championship from the staff at ringside and rolls in the ring, proudly presenting it to Samael! Samael clutches it to his chest and screams triumphantly again! Remi and Korvayne each get up and under Samael and lift him up on their shoulders! Dyson raises the title in the air, looking every bit like a conquering hero! JC: Oh I don’t believe this! Actually, on second thought, maybe I do! Because Samael Dyson just proved once again that when it comes to doing things by hook or by crook, he’ll always choose CROOK! JR: You gotta admit though, the play was perfect! He feigned an injury earlier in the night and then he waited for his stable mate Remi Storm to wear SEB out, and then attacked full force with all of his allies! There was no way Sebastian could have stopped this! JC: You’re right Joe! Dammit you’re right! And now we have to contend with quite possibly the most sick and twisted Universal Champion in XWF history! But! Relentless is right around the corner, and we can only hope and pray that Samael Dyson won’t hold the title for long! JR: Are you kidding?! With how he’s been outsmarting and out playing nearly everyone in the XWF for months?! JC: We have to hold out hope, Joe! UGH! That’s all for tonight everyone! Tune in to the next episode of Warfare in only two weeks!
