What have they done to my baby?

Waitaminute... does this...? This... actually does work better. Well... okay then...

Here are the highlights:

Drumroll please...

AAAAAANNNNNNNNDDDDDDDD NNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWW!!!
  • Dickie Watson
With titles on the line, this War Games had the highest points exchange of any other War Games in history and it sees the sole survivor come put with the Universal Championship AND as the new number one in ELO...N. Dickie also becomes just the 13th person (tied - more on that later) to cross the 2000 rating points mark AND registers the FOURTH HIGHEST rating points of all time, behind only John Madison, Robert Main, and Mark Flynn

BIGGEST RANKING RISE
  • Scoops McGee +15
You would think Dickie climbing 13 places would get this honour but no, it instead goes to Dickie's captain. Scoops has claimed some big wins recently, and even though he also took some losses at the start of November, ultimately finishing 4th AND leading his team through to War Games victory scored him some big points. Those losses suggest he might be a little overvalued, but he also beat SEB recently so... maybe not?

WELCOME TO THE CLUB!
  • King Kieran - 2000 Club
Never before have two characters joined the 2000 Club in the same month, but getting all the way to the end of War Games helps The King join the club alongside Dickie. This is a prime result of the scaled elimination changes, meaning the runner up in War Games doesn't get punished with points. This is a good sign for the future where notable runner ups in my memory such as Lucy Wylde and Dolly Waters actually saw their ratings decrease despite their coming out parties. From an OOC perspective, King Kieran becomes the first handler to have two characters join the 2000 Club. Bizarrely, neither of them have ever been ranked Number One! A curious feat only also matched by John Austin.

HIGHEST RETURN/DEBUT
  • Betsy Granger - 8
With a strong base of points behind her from her days competing for the Shooting Star and TV titles, Betsy Granger took a few losses on return. Some of these didn't affect her rating much, because they were against higher rated characters. Still, it was her team's victory in Round 1 that saw Betsy through to the highest return or debut for the month (where there were many!) Looking forward to seeing what's next for her.

KEEP YOUR EYES ON
  • Kristoffer Arroyo
Perhaps the unluckiest in terms of the scaled elimination changes. While Kieran King was somewhat protected as runner up, the debuting Vamp - who finished 3rd - didn't have the same level of protections. SEB probably got hit worse but had a lot of points to protect him from falling too far. I don't think there is a perfect system here when finalists have to compete twice, and the extra points on offer because of titles being on the line just conplicated things further. But let's be clear, the current Anarchy Champ has only lost one match - that 3rd place finish in the War Games finals. He is currently MASSIVELY undervalued by the system. Look for that to change extremely quickly.
  • Clutch Cassidy
Speaking of Anarchy champs with only one loss, don't sleep on this half of the Anarchy Tag Team Champions who debuts inside the Top 10! So far she's 2 from 2 on PPV and that's where the biggest points gains lie. Let's see what the next cycle brings her!
  • First round losing teams in War Games
The scaled elimination system really hit some of the early eliminations from first round matches in War Games hard. The result was some heavy losses in points to people like Mr. Oz, 'Psycho' Solomon, Tatiana Jolee and Reggie Estrada. I think they're all undervalued right now, so a couple of wins each and they should start to climb.
