Evertrust kicks out, his body exploding into thousands of tiny spiders before the naked eye. This prompts the Doctor to split back into dozens of crows which naturally cannot resist the juicy spiders, quickly gobbling them all up—a meal that hits the spot in more ways than one. Each consumed spider releases an egg that births a tiny parasite so small it makes its way up and into the tiny bird brain; and all of that happens within seconds.

The crows have no choice but to follow the commands in their minds and proceed to carry Evertrust, by way of carrying the parasites he evolved into, back to his original location as many new and hungrier ducks arrive on the scene, ready to be fed as the crows explode into flames once their mission is complete. The ducks feast upon the charred remnants of the crows as well as the parasites and after the feeding frenzy, one very lucky duck is chosen to mutate into Evertrust while the other ducks practice the moves of The Crimson Face against one another.
