Karl Cross catches sight of Bruce leaving the gym. Fearing he might ask for an autograph, Karl attempts to avoid his attention. Much to Karl's delight, Bruce misses the wet floor sign and slips. The smack to the back of Bruce's head renders him unconscious.

Fearing someone lesser of a man takes advantage of the situation, Karl thinks he should prevent anyone else stealing the championship by taking it himself.
